Russell Simmons is making headlines for a model who claims to have been sexually assaulted by the media mogul. She claims that she was forced to give Simmons oral sex while movie director, Brett Ratner(movie: "Rush Hour") looked on. She says after the alleged sex act, she went to shower and that's when Simmons popped into the shower and anally penetrated her. Simmons has denied the claims saying the sex act was consensual and he did indeed spend a few nights with the woman. Others have come forward to corroborate Simmons' story. I always say there is truth to a rumor(or in this case a story). We do know Russell Simmons has a thing for young girls. He began dating model, Kimora Lee Simmons when she was 17 and he was 35. In other news... Jennifer Hudson and her fiance of 10 years, David Otunga have broken up and Hudson has filed a protective order. Otunga has alleged that Hudson had been unfaithful during their courtship with singer, Mail Music. 

It feels like every time we hear about singer, Sean Kingston; its typically not a good thing. I'm just sitting here thinking what song(s) does Sean Kingston sing. The melody of one of his songs is in my head but I can't place the name of the song. I don't feel like looking it up either. Her former manager is notable for landing Mariah the docu-series, "Mariah's World" on E! She also was responsible for Mariah's stint in Las Vegas and her tour with Lionel Richie. Rapper, Remy Ma has just signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records(Beyoncé's record label) which will release her next album. The album's first single has been revealed and its her collaboration with Lil' Kim titled, "Wake Me Up" which is said to be a Nicki Minaj dis. It was just a month or so ago when Remy Ma and Lil' Kim posed for a picture in the studio speaking of their upcoming collaboration. A video for the single has been shot and pictures acquired from TMZ show the rappers alongside a sports car and standing alongside one another in an undisclosed location. In the song, Remy is said to attack Nicki's relationship with Nas among other things. It looks like things are about to get much worse between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. I was surprised when I heard that The Weekend was mad at Drake for breaking the bro code and then when I found out why, I was even more shocked. Well it seems that Drake is dating The Weeknd's ex-girlfriend. I don't know the name of the women in question but when you think about all of the women linked to both The Weeknd and Drake, its quite exhausting. Drake is a womanizer so him shacking up The Weeknd's ex is not a huge surprise when you think about it. Plenty of women throw themselves at Drake(and The Weeknd) and Drake throws himself at plenty of women. Maybe these two can patch things up in the long run and give us another hot collaboration. So 2017 has shaped up to be quite the year for stripper turned former reality TV star turned rapper, Cardi B. Her single, "Bodak Yellow" ruled the Hot 100 charts for 3 weeks and a few days ago she was on stage with her boyfriend, Offset from Migos when he proposed to her. Friday saw the release of the new Migos record, "Motor Sport" featuring Cardi B. and Nicki Minaj. News of the record quickly spread and before you know it was trending on Twitter and had everyone drawing comparisons as to had the best verse between Cardi and Nicki. Some people allege that both ladies were subliminally dissing each other since the media(and fans) have been trying to pit both ladies against one another. It was announced last week that singer, Tamar Braxton had filed for divorce from her husband/manager; Vincent Herbert. Vincent Herbert was once sister Toni Braxton's manager and I believe that's how Tamar and Vince met. Tamar and Vince have been together for 9 years but I'm unsure if they've been married for 9 years or not. This news comes on the heels of Tamar's recent statement that she was quitting music to focus on rebuilding her marriage. Well since the marriage didn't work out, will Tamar resume her music career? I do believe that being on reality TV may of played a part in the dissolution of Tamar and Vince's marriage. We've all seen friendships, relationships, and marriages dissolve right in front of our eyes on reality TV all for the sake of money. A few days ago it was reported that singer, Mariah Carey was robbed of 50K(50 thousand) dollars worth of jewelry and purses. I'm thinking her backup dancers are to blame because maybe they are not getting paid enough to be on tour with her. I know Mariah Carey casually hangs out with her backup dancers and even dates them so what makes you think they wouldn't rob her? I'm sure they have been throughout her home on various occasions and have been privy to see many of the lavish items Mariah owns. Rick Ross was put on blast by his baby mother via social media making several accusations towards the rap superstar. In her social media rant, she alleges that Ross didn't call his son for his birthday but was quick to call her when he learned of her appearing on the upcoming season of "Love & Hip Hop Miami"(airing in January on VH1). She also called out Ross for being infatuated with Birdman's feud with Lil' Wayne suggesting he find more important things to do with his time like call his son. Unfortunately children don't ask to be born and many times they're caught in the middle of the drama between parents when they're no longer together and have a falling out. Last year, Azealia Banks angrily recalled a wild night that she spent with RZA(of Wu-Tang Clan) when they were invited to a hotel gathering held by "Gladiator" actor, Russell Crowe. According to RZA, Azealia's behavior was "erratic" and Crowe spat at Banks, called her a "nigger" and threw her out of his party. This vile act caused a rift between RZA and Azealia Banks as RZA had recently directed her in the feature film previously titled, "Coco"(now known as "Love Beats Rhymes"). Azealia publicly denounced both RZA and Russell Crowe for his behavior and RZA not defending her. Now, RZA is finally speaking out revealing that Banks' story of what went down that night was indeed true. He says that he didn't spit on her but "spat at her". A few days ago a video surfaced of rapper Lil'Kim's new video and single. The untitled single was viewed at an unknown media event in which Kim attended. Later, more footage was released with Lil' Kim speaking indicating that the new single and video serves as a precursor to her new project slated to be released at the top of next year. Let's just hope that Kim sticks to her guns in releasing this video, single, and new album. We all know her history of failing to release albums, singles, EP's, and mixtapes. I can't fault Kim entirely as I know she hasn't been surrounded by people that had her best interests at heart in my opinion. I also can't just call out Kim because when it comes to female rappers in general, they are all pretty well known for pushing back projects, getting albums shelved, etc. Are you all ready for Lil' Kim to come back? I was shocked when I logged on to Twitter yesterday while at work and saw the headlines that Nelly had been arrested for rape. Now I don't know the full details of the story but the alleged rape took place on a tour bus in a Walmart parking lot. Nelly is currently on tour with pop country group, Florida Georgia Line(I think that's their name). Nelly has spoken out denying the allegations and thanked his fans for their unwavering support. I was on Twitter again last night and I saw a video of Nelly bringing a little girl on stage and talking to her before telling her to hold his glasses. He then proceeded to stroke her hair and sing to her. The concert goers seemed to think the gesture was cute but others online was questioning Nelly's behavior. It was making this alleged rape charge not too far fetched. Many were wondering what kids were doing at a Nelly concert but Nelly is touring with a pop country group so the audience likely varied in age. An online commentator noted...

Singer turned actor Tyrese is fuming at his "Fast & Furious" co-star, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for holding up filming for the newest installment of "FF" in favor of a standalone movie. The newest "FF" movie was slated to be released in 2019 and will now be released sometime in 2020. Okay! Big deal! The movie is still happening and as far as we know Tyrese is still attached to star in the movie. Now if Tyrese were unceremoniously dropped from the movie then I could understand the frustration. He better hope his "drag session" if we want to call it that doesn't result in him not having a job. I would think someone like The Rock has a lot of pull and may want producers to not have Tyrese involved in the film. Or they could simply decide themselves to cut Tyrese or then again they could keep him as there is no such thing as bad publicity. Jay Z claims he turned down an offer to perform at the Super Bowl next year and the NFL responded by offering a slot to Justin Timberlake. The question is will he invite Janet Jackson to perform? Remember the two famously performed(and stripped)in 2004 and it led to huge backlash and numerous fines for network CBS. I'm sure the censors will be in full effect as Justin performs. I would expect a PG rated show though from the former Disney star.  Female rapper, Khia(song: "My Neck My Back") has called out singer, K. Michelle over her Lupus disease diagnosis. To sum it up, Khia basically feels that K. Michelle's revelation is straight up bullshit. Who knows? K. Michelle has yet to respond. But she was however quick to respond to Joseline and Azealia Banks in the past. K. Michelle is known for getting the girls together but she met her match in Azealia Banks(the two fell out when plans to tour together fell through) and I think she'd certainly would meet her match...

Cardi B. is having the best week ever as her single, "Bodak Yellow" has FINALLY hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Bodak Yellow" is the first solo single from a female rapper to top the chart since 1998 when Lauryn Hill released "Doo Wop(That Thing)". Cardi has received congratulations from everyone from Missy Elliott to singer Taylor Swift(who sent the rapper flowers for her achievements). I would definitely say "Bodak Yellow" is the song of the Summer. Congrats to Cardi B. Now that Cardi has hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, people will be waiting to hear what Cardi has in store for us next musically. She was slated to drop an album in October but its since been pushed back to an unspecified date. I really think Atlantic needs to strike while the iron is hot! Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates! I'm always keeping up with what's going on in popular culture but me coming here and discussing it(typing it) is a whole different story. I compiled the last week of news stories and speak briefly on some of those you have heard about and some you may of not heard about. So here goes... Remember the rumors going around suggesting that singer Brandy was pregnant with her rumored ex-boyfriend(who's alleged to be married) lovechild? Well her friend, actress; Jenifer Lewis(show: "black-ish") was asked during a red carpet event if Brandy was pregnant and she replied "No!". So there you have it! Brandy is not pregnant!  R&B group Xscape are heading out on tour this Fall with singer Monica and Tamar Braxton. The group also landed a reality show titled, "Still Kickin' It"(I believe) and it will air on the Bravo network directly after "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" starting on November 5....
