Rihanna Ready To Release New Album!

Rihanna is releasing a new album to be due later this year. The album's first single is "Only Girl". The album is said to be dance worthy and more upbeat than last year's dark, "Rated R". Mary J. Blige is rumored to be working on a new album. The recently leaked single, "Break Up To Make Up" was said to just be a throwaway song. The song is not a single and Mary insists that the upcoming album is coming along and patience is advised. Good things come to those who wait. There are the few who feel Mary needs to sit down but I beg to differ. I don't mind albums from her. I just want something that will top "The Breakthrough" now because that was her last good album. Just when I thought Trina had given up on her most recent album, "Amazin'", I just read that Trina will release, "I Want It All" featuring Monica as her next single. Trina's current single, "Always" also featured Monica and without a vide

Album Spotlight: Bobby Brown - Don't Be Cruel

Image
I was just four years old when this album was released but I still remember it as if it were yesterday. My sister had the cassette. I remember many a times dancing to the songs such as "Every Little Step and "My Prerogative". Bobby Brown was coming off his stint as a member of the famed R&B group, New Edition. So naturally when Bobby Brown released "Don't Be Cruel", there was much fanfare. The album featured the title track which was issued as the album's first single. The song was produced by the production team of Babyface and L.A. Reid which later housed the label, LaFace. "My Prerogative" was chosen as the album's second single and featured a funky video. The song was later remade by Britney Spears which Bobby claims he didn't like. "Roni" was the album's third single followed by "Rock Wit'cha". This album was a huge hit for Bobby Brown and it sold in excess of 4 million copies. ---------------- Now

Jazmine Sullivan Releases New Video!

Jazmine Sullivan's newest single, "Holding You Down(Goin' In Circles)" is one of my favorite songs this year. The song was produced by Missy Elliott. Jazmine's upcoming album, "Love Me Back" will be in stores and online on October 5. Make sure you check it out! ---------------- Now playing: Janelle MonƔe - Come Alive (The War Of The Roses) via FoxyTunes

Trey Songz Releases New Video!

Trey Songz is showing no signs of slowing down as he releases his latest and newest video, "Can't Be Friends" from his upcoming album, "Passion Pain & Pleasure". The album will be in stores and online September 14. I actually like the video and the song. I just think Trey and his camp rush releases every single. ---------------- Now playing: Trey Songz - Jupiter Love via FoxyTunes

Marsha Ambrosius Performs New Single Live!

The former front woman of Floetry performs her first single, "Hope She Cheats You(With A Basketball Player)". It is the first single from her album, "Late Nights & Early Mornings" in stores and online October 26. I think I flubbed on the album title but if it is not correct, the phrases might be switched around. Who knows? I love Marsha but I'm not really feeling this song. I still will probably check for her album though. ---------------- Now playing: Shirley Murdock - Go on Without You via FoxyTunes

Faith Evans Reveals New Album Cover!

Image
Faith looks slamming on the cover of her new album, "Something About Faith" in stores and online October 5. The album's first single, "Gone Already" debuted on the charts last week. "Something" features appearances from Estelle, Redman, Raekwon, and suddenly I had a brain freeze and can't remember everyone else. This album will be Faith's most collaborative effort. All I can do is pray that the collaborations don't bog the album down. Over the years Faith has been really consistent with each album and I'm sure this one will be no exception. I'm loving the album cover and I can't wait for the new album. ---------------- Now playing: Shirley Murdock - Go on Without You via FoxyTunes

Producer Spotlight: Soulshock & Karlin

Image
I will have to say that the production duo of Soulshock & Karlin(the two standing up in the picture) have produced some of the best R&B songs in the world. They have worked with virtually every R&B artist known to man. Their discography is pretty extensive and for a time, a R&B album wasn't complete without their input. They were born Carsten Schack and Kenneth Karlin out of Denmark. Carsten started out as a DJ who began remixing songs for the likes of MC Lyte and Queen Latifah. After a stint in New York, Carsten relocated back to his hometown of Denmark. He eventually linked up with a keyboard player, Kenneth Karlin and the rest is history. Together the duo has produced various #1 singles and Karlin once dated singer Tracie Spencer. The duo produced some songs on her last album, "Tracie". Check out some of the songs this duo is responsible for bringing us: Hit By Love, CeCe Peniston Before You Walk Out Of My Life, Monica Heartbreak Hotel, Whitney Houston

Nelly Talks About Upcoming Album!

Check out a brief preview of Nelly as he goes behind the scenes of his newest and latest hit single, "Just A Dream" from his upcoming album, "5.0" in stores November 16. Nelly also talks about the new single, artistry, collaborations, and his stint as a radio DJ. Nelly's single, "Just A Dream" debuted at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week and its a comeback of sorts for the rapper who's last album, "Brass Knuckles" didn't do as well as his past albums. ---------------- Now playing: Ashanti - Ashanti - Breakup To Makeup via FoxyTunes

Album Spotlight: Mary J. Blige - My Life

Image
I remember when I bought this album as a cassette. I think my mother was more excited than I was. We both fought to take the wrapper off the cassette. At the time Mary J. had released her first single, "Be Happy" and we would hear it on the radio. Mary J. Blige was my favorite singer at the time and she would be for many years to come. Over the years this album would become a certified R&B classic masterminded by Diddy and Mary J. Blige. At the time Mary J. was battling her personal demons and all of it spills out on this album. We felt her pain and she sung with equal conviction. The singles from this album aren't any of Mary's biggest singles but alongside "Be Happy", Mary's remake of "I'm Goin' Down" was the second single. The album's third single was "You Bring Me Joy". I thought it was so odd how this album had 17 songs. There were 11 on side A and side B had 6 which I thought was even more odd. Some of my favorit

Throwback Video: Eve - Satisfaction

This is one of the few songs I actually like from Eve. The beat is hard hitting and you can't help but bop your head to it. This was the second or third single from her "Eve-olution" album which was released in 2002. Doesn't seem like it was that long huh? ---------------- Now playing: Eve - Satisfaction via FoxyTunes

Jazmine Sullivan Behind The Scenes Of New Video!

Take an exclusive look as Jazmine Sullivan goes behind the scenes of her new video, "Holding You Down". The video features Hip Hop luminaries such as Doug E. Fresh, Pepa of Salt-N-Pepa, and Missy Elliott of course who produced the song. ---------------- Now playing: Tony Toni Tone! - It Never Rains(In Southern California) via FoxyTunes

Kanye West Titles New Album Due This Holiday!

Formerly titled, "Good Ass Job", the album is now being titled, "Dark Twisted Fantasy" and the album will be released in stores and online on November 16. The album features the first single, "Power" with the video just recently being released. The album features collaborations from Q-Tip and Nicki Minaj just to name a few. In other Kanye West news a new single feature Rick Ross, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj has leaked out entitled, "Monster". As you can imagine Nicki Minaj's verse is sick and its what everyone is talking about so far. Jazmine Sullivan is back with her new album, "Love Me Back" and it will be in stores and online October 5. I'm loving her first single, "Holding You Down" and I'm looking forward to her album. Below you can check out the tracklisting! 1. Holding You Down (Goin’ In Circles) 2. 10 Seconds 3. Good Enough 4. Don’t Make Me Wait 5. L

Mariah Carey Still Mum On Pregnancy Rumors!

Image
Every couple of months or so there are the rumors that Mariah Carey is with child. Well the rumor has reared its head again. This time her husband, Nick Cannon dodges the question and then some. Red more about that below as well as a little news on Mariah's new album and Ciara finally settling on a release date for her new album. Artist Spotlight: Jazzy

I did a spotlight on Jazzy awhile back. You can check my blog pages for more info on her. In this interview Jazzy talks about her influences, working with Busta Rhymes, and Keri Hilson. Currently Jazzy doesn't have a recording deal but she tours all around the world. She performed in Kanye Wests' "Glow In The Dark" tour and was featured as a background vocalist for Melanie Fiona. Follow Jazzy on twitter ! ---------------- Now playing: Sylk E. Fyne - Romeo & Juliet via FoxyTunes

Album Spotlight: Angie Stone - Black Diamond

Image
I had never heard of Angie Stone prior to her debut solo album, "Black Diamond". Come to find out though she had an extensive background in music that dated back to the late 70s as a rapper. Ange Stone hit it big with her single, "No More Rain(In This Clouds)". When I tell you all that my mother played this song out, she played it out! She played it out to the point that I learned the lyrics to the song. I never cared for the song but it didn't stop me from learning the lyrics. I heard damn near everyday for months at a time. As much as my mother played "No More Rain", I did manage to hear the rest of the album. One song that always stood out to me and is one of my personal favorites is "Bone 2 Pic(Wit U)". I can't remember a lot of the album but another notable song to check out is "Everyday" which was co-written by Angie's baby daddy, D'Angelo.

El DeBarge - Second Chance Video

We saw him make a surprise appearance and triumphant return to the spotlight at this years BET awards. Now El DeBarge is releasing his first album in 16 years. Be on the look out for his upcoming album, "Second Chance" in stores and online very soon. ---------------- Now playing: Aretha Franklin - Jump To It via FoxyTunes

Throwback Video: Faith Evans Featuring Missy Elliott & Freeway - Burnin' Up Remix

I know it wasn't long ago when I just featured Faith Evans as part of my Throwback Video but hey what can I say. Instead of releasing the regular version of "Burnin' Up", Faith remixed the single and featured longtime friend Missy Elliott and Freeway. Faith has been in and out of the news with talk of her new album, "Something About Faith" in stores and online on Ocotber 5 as well as an arrest for DUI. ---------------- Now playing: Fantasia - Falling In Love Tonight (Produced By Jim Jonsin And Rico Love) via FoxyTunes

Fantasia Good Morning America Interview!

Fantasia opens up about her recent suicide attempt among other things. Her new album, "Back To Me" is in stores and online today. The album is pretty good by the way. Make sure you check it out! ---------------- Now playing: Fantasia - I'm Doin' Me (Produced By Chuck Harmony) via FoxyTunes

Kanye West See Me Now Single Cover Released!

Image
I might be a little late but better late than never. I'm referring to the single cover for Kanye West's newest single, "See Me Now" featuring Beyonce & Charlie Wilson. Kanye's new album, "Dark Twisted Fantasy" will be released on November 16. November is looking to be an interesting month for new music releases. Scheduled so far to come on in November just in time for the holidays are Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Tank and no telling who else! Music Biz: Mariah Carey To Be Next "Idol" Judge? Now that Jennifer Lopez is out, will Mariah Carey be the next American Idol judge? That’s that latest rumor following the recent shake-up over at the hit reality show competition, which recently saw Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuadri leaving their posts at the FOX network. The show’s upcoming tenth season was set to feature J. Lo as a judge until her diva demands got her booted from the competish, but now, there’s another diva who’s rea

Album Spotlight: Karyn White - Karyn White

Image
Karyn White released her debut album on Warner Bros. Records in 1988. She had a huge machine behind her in the form of Babyface and L.A. Reid. Karyn released the singles, "The Way You Love Me", the R&B classic, "Love Saw It" featuring Babyface, and "Superwoman". I remember the "Superwoman" always being played on The Box to the point where even at four years old, I got tired of seeing it and hearing my mother play the song. Karyn's debut album was a hit selling over 2 million copies. ---------------- Now playing: Barry White - I've Got So Much To Give via FoxyTunes

Producer Spotlight: Kandi

Image
We all know Kandi Burruss from the group Xscape. More recently we have come to know her from Bravo's "The Real Housewives Of Atlanta". What many may have forgotten is what an established songwriter and producer Kandi is. She has virtually worked with every urban act in recent years. Her resume is quite lengthy and what you will see here is just a fraction of it. Check out Kandi's extensive discography: There You Go, Pink Bills Bills Bills, Destiny's Child No Scrubs, TLC How You Gonna Tell Me, Mya If I Was Yo Man, Joe Make Me Wanna Scream, Blu Cantrell Last Boyfriend, B2K Jane Doe, Alicia Keys Pop Yo Collar, Usher Tardy For The Party, Kim Zolciak Tell Me No, Whitney Houston ---------------- Now playing: Angie Martinez - Ladies & Gents featuring Snoop Dogg via FoxyTunes

Michel'le Returns With New Single!

Here you can view the trailer to her new single, "Freedom Two (To) Love". Michel'le released her debut album in 1989. She housed such singles as "Something In My Heart" and "Nicety". She has a child with producer Dr. Dre. She was signed to Eazy E's Ruthless Records. Michel'le released a second album in 1998, "Hung Jury" but the album flopped. Now she is back again! Music Biz: Fantasia Speaks On Suicide Attempt! Two weeks after being hospitalized for overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid, singer Fantasia Barrino says it was no accident. She wanted to die. "I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out," the American Idol winner, 26, tells VH1 in a new Behind the Music interview, airing 9 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday, the same day her new album, Back to Me, is released. "At that moment, I wanted out. I wanted it to be over with – all of it, all of that [expletive]." She continues

Artist Spotlight: Faith Evans

Image
Faith Evans is back in the limelight thanks to a new upcoming album, "Something About Faith" which will be online and in stores on October 5. The album's first single, "Gone Already" has been well received and recently debuted on the R&B charts. For the new album, Faith Evans started her own label, Prolific Music Group which is being distributed by E1 Records(formerly Koch Records). The upcoming album features many collaborations including Keyshia Cole, Raekwon, Redman, Jessica Reedy(from BET's "Sunday Best"), Kelly Price, Estelle, and many more. The buzz on the new Faith album has recently reached the boiling point. With album trailers and news on a rumored arrest, Faith has everyone talking. A singer who has spent a lot of her career in the shadow of others is truly ready to break out on her own. With strong determination and ambition Faith Evans is ready to rule the R&B and Pop airwaves. The Artist Spotlight is on Faith Evans.

Throwback Video: Busta Rhymes - Put All Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See

This was one of my favorite songs and videos while I was in junior high school. Everytime this song came on, I would want to dance. Busta Rhymes was one of the first rappers to make really expensive videos. It was something he caught some flack for but the videos were really good. If the video looks somewhat familiar to you its because its a wild take on the Eddie Murphy movie, "Coming To America". ---------------- Now playing: Busta Rhymes - Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See [OFFICIAL VIDEO] via FoxyTunes

Album Spotlight: Freddie Jackson - Rock Me Tonight

Image
"Rock Me Tonight" was Freddie Jackson's debut album which was released in 1985. I remember my mother having this album and it is one I clearly remember while growing up. The album contained four singles and they were all huge R&B hits. The album's first single was the title track. The second single was "You Are My Lady" which is a favorite of mine. The third single was "He'll Never Love You(Like I Do)", and the fourth was "Love Is Just A Touch Away" which is another one of my favorites. The album contains nine tracks which was normal for a release at this time. More and more we have seen recent R&B albums contain less tracks. ---------------- Now playing: Monica - Superman (Produced By Bryan-Michael Cox) via FoxyTunes

Nicki Minaj Fires Up Official First Single Release!

Nicki Minaj's first single to her upcoming album, "Pink Friday" will be "Right Through Me". The song is said to be controversial. The song is said to debut in two weeks. As far as current single, "Your Love", it is said to appear on "Pink Friday" as a bonus track. Look out for Nicki's debut album in stores and online November 23. Ronald Isley returns to the music scene with a new album, "Mr. I" which will be online and in stores on September 28. This is kind of surprising given I haven't seen much promo for the album until now. The album's first single is "No More" which recently leaked out. One of the album's perks is a surprising duet with Lauryn Hill. Make sure you be on the look out for that! Kandi recently revealed that her and producer/friend Jermaine Dupri slept together. I can't say I'm too surprised though given the nature of producers and girl groups. The producer is always banging at leas

Missy Elliott To Release New Single!

Missy Elliott recently revealed through her twitter account that her new single, "Blow Ya Whistle" will be dropping soon. Apparently the song is a club banger and will have the walls melting. This will be the first single to her long awaited album, "Block Party". The album has been in the works for quite some time. Hopefully we will get to hear it this time. Missy may have not dropped an album in over five years but she has stayed pretty busy. She has been writing and producing number 1 hits for Keyshia Cole("Let It Go"), Monica("Everything To Me"), and Jazmine Sullivan("Need U Bad"). As we know Ray J had been working diligently on his new album through his show on VH1. Now the singer has released his supposed first single, "Celebration" which features Ludacris. The singer's new album, "Raydiation 2" will be in stores this fall. Make sure you look out for that as well as the new season of "Brandy & Ray J

Kelly Rowland's Commander Remix Single Cover!

Image
Kelly Rowland's new album, "Commander" will be in stores soon. I can't remember the date. It has changed quite a bit. Kelly's current single, "Grown Woman" here in the states is doing really well. I hear it on the radio quite a bit. For the remix of her UK single, "Commander", Kelly hooks up with former duet partner Nelly. Can't go wrong there right?

Throwback Video: Lil' Kim Featuring Lil' Cease - Crush On You

---------------- Now playing: Lil' Kim feat. Lil Cease - Crush On You (Released Jan 3rd, 1997) via FoxyTunes

Album Spotlight: Babyface - Face2Face

Image
My mother has always been a big fan of Babyface. I remember her owning the album, "Tender Lover" and playing the life out of it. My mother did that a lot with albums and I would eventually do the same thing. In 2001, Babyface released the album, "Face2Face" which was a tad bit different from his usual output. At the time The Neptunes were ruling the airwaves with a variety of hits. It was only right for a veteran act like Babyface to become part of that mix. It is what veteran artists do to stay current. Not only was Babyface a hit making producer himself but he was also a successful singer. "Face2Face" featured the first single, "There She Goes" which was produced by The Neptunes. They also produce a few other cuts and that title of it is right on the tip of my tongue. The album's second single was "What If" and the video featured actress Sanaa Lathan. Elsewhere on the album Babyface hooks up with one of my favorite producers, Mike

Tank Reveals New Album Cover For Now Or Never!

Image
Tank gets hot and sweaty for the cover of his new album, "Now & Never". You should have heard his first single by now, "Sex Music" which is a favorite of mine right now. The video for the single was released a little while back. The album is slated to appear in stores November 2. A possible duet with LeToya is said to appear on the album. I'm not aware of much information on the album at this time. When I do find out more info I will definitely let you all know.

Keri Hilson To Release A New Album!

Keri Hilson has a new album on the way and its being called, "No Boys Allowed". I think its kind of odd considering some people think she's a lesbian. I know I do. Not that I care though. Anyway the first single is called, "Breaking Point" and it just leaked out. The response so far hasn't been very good. There has been a few major release date changes. As if that's surprising. Tank's new album, "Sex Music" will now be released on November 2. On October 5, Ciara's "Basic Instinct" will be released along with Jazmine Sullivan's "Love Me Back", Soulja Boi's "The DeAndre Way", and Faith Evans', "Something About Faith". T.I.'s "King Uncaged" will be released soon as the release date has been delayed. Keep an eye out as these release dates are subject to change. Mariah Carey is set to release a new Christmas album on November 2. The album is currently untitled. The album will

Album Spotlight: Tracie Spencer - Make The Difference

Image
I still remember when my mother bought this album. I also remember sitting in front of our stereo and listening to this album and reading the accompanying lyrics. I'm not sure how many of you remember Tracie Spencer. She got her start in the late 80s and had a brief hit streak in the early 90s. "Make The Difference" was Tracie's second album and it was released in 1991. The album housed many hits including, "This House", "Love Me", "Save Your Love", and "This Time Make It Funky". Some of my favorite songs are "I Like That", "I Have A Song To Sing", and "Double O Rhythm". ---------------- Now playing: Sade - By Your Side Remix via FoxyTunes

Ciara Releases Speechless Single Cover!

Image
In addition to the new single, "Gimme Dat" hitting radio already, Ciara will also release the single, "Speechless". "Speechless" leaked out awhile back with vocals from The-Dream. This time The-Dream's vocals is removed from this song but you can hear him on the background vocals. The single cover is hot! It screams album cover to me! The album "Basic Instinct" will be in stores and online soon. Be on the look out for that! ---------------- Now playing: Mary J Blige - Good Love (ft. T.I.) via FoxyTunes

Throwback Video: Jody Watley - Off The Hook

For a brief time Jody Watley was signed to Atlantic Records. Her debut album, "Flower" was shelved and the album never saw the light of day. "Off The Hook" was the first and only single from that album. ---------------- Now playing: Jody Watley - Off The Hook via FoxyTunes

Trey recently shot down rumors that the show wasn't doing well at all. ---------------- Now playing: Trey Songz Feat. Nicki Minaj - Bottoms Up (Official Video) via FoxyTunes

Album Spotlight: The Isley Bros. - Mission To Please

Image
Before this album, The Isley Bros. were known as a funk band who were popular in the 70s and 80s. Thanks to R. Kelly and his influence of The Isley Bros, he is responsible for bring the group back to prominence. Some of his work with Ronald Isley may have alienated some of The Isley Bros. core fans. In the meantime R. Kelly helped introduce The Isley Bros. to a whole new generation. I remember gushing about this album and asking my mother to buy it for me. Luckily I received the album as a Christmas gift. It was one of the first CDs I had. This was the same Christmas that I got my first CD boombox. With that new CD boombox, I wanted new CDs to play in it. The album's first single, "Let's Stay Together" was produced by R. Kelly and featured the producer on backing vocals. Sad to say I really can't remember what other songs were singles. The shortage of singles didn't stop this album from going platinum. It was the first album in a line of future Isley Bros. alb

Faith Talks About New Album!

Faith's new album, "Somethin' About Faith" will be in stores October 5. You have seen me mention it many times and as long as the Faith Evans news comes in, you will be reminded of it! ---------------- Now playing: Fantasia - I'm Doin' Me (Produced By Chuck Harmony) via FoxyTunes

Producer Spotlight: Chucky Thompson

Image
Chucky Thompson gained his notoriety as a producer primarily for Bad Boy Records. He had a hand in producing virtually every artist signed to Bad Boy during its heyday. He has produced outside of Bad Boy artists but his production for Bad Boy is what he is primarily known for. I'm not familiar with much of his personal life which is probably a good thing. We all become so focused in people's life enough as it is anyway. Below you can check out a list of the wonderful songs Chucky Thompson has produced over the years! Think Of You, Usher Caramel Kisses, Faith Evans feat. 112 Get Over, Mya Time, Mary J. Blige One Mic, Nas No One Said, Shareefa Love Song, Faith Evans Can I Get Witcha, The Notorious B.I.G. Until We Rich, Ice Cube If I Was Your Girlfriend, TLC You, Pebbles Someone Like You, Total I'll Be There, Tevin Campbell Try Again, New Edition ---------------- Now playing: Kenny Lattimore - Never Too Busy via FoxyTunes

Throwback Video: Kelly Price Featuring R. Kelly & Ronald Isley - Friend Of Mine Remix

Kelly Price got the R. Kelly and Ronald Isley treatment for her the remix of her debut single, "Friend Of Mine". By this time R. Kelly and Ronald Isley aka Mr. Biggs developed a reputation for their ongoing battle on a series of songs. ---------------- Now playing: Kelly Price - Friend Of Mine ft. Ronald Isley, R. Erykah Badu Finally Pays Up For Window Seat Video!

Remember the reaction everyone had when we first saw Erykah Badu's "Window Seat" video? Well there was an even bigger reaction from law enforcement when she was fined for $500. The singer was charged with disorderly conduct and probation. The directors for the video knew there was a chance Erykah could get arrested. They even had bail money set aside if she did. The directors believe Erykah wanted to get arrested. What do you think? T.I.'s new album, "King Uncaged" is due very soon. There was a release date of September but now MTV.com is reporting no date is set in stone. T.I. is close to choosing his next single though. You can catch T.I. in the new movie, "Takers" which also stars Chris Brown. The movie will be in theaters August 27. Faith Evans will release her new album, "Somethin' About Faith" on October 5. The album is led by the single, "Gone Already". Below you can check out the official tracklisting to the album! 1

Lloyd Banks Set To Release New Album!

While he is still under the G-Unit moniker, Lloyd's new album, "The Hunger For More 2" will be distributed by EMI Records. Lloyd's new album will be in stores on November 23. The album features the new single, "Any Girl" featuring Lloyd. Make sure you look out for that. I didn't even know there was a rumor going around about Beyonce being pregnant! The singer is currently promoting her new fragrance, "Heat" and has no plans to start a family right now. I just don't see Beyonce having any children until her late 30s. We shall see though. Nelly is back on the scene with his new album, "5.0". The album will be released on November 16. The album contains the first single, "Tippin' In Da Club". The album's second single, "Just A Dream" was produced by Rico Love. Both songs leaked awhile back and from what I remember I wasn't too fond of either one. ---------------- Now playing: Missy Elliott - X-Tasy via

Album Spotlight: Mariah Carey - Daydream

Image
I remember having this album a long time ago but I can't remember much about it. Is that a bad thing? Well can't be too bad if I'm spotlighting this album. Released in 1995, Mariah Carey's "Daydream" spawned three hit singles. The album was led by the funky hit, "Fantasy" and the remix featured ODB. Mariah scored the biggest hit of her career(at the time) with "One Sweet Day" featuring Boyz II Men. For the album's third single, Mariah chosen the Jermaine Dupri produced, "Always Be My Baby". Like all of Mariah's albums, this one was a hit and I believe its certified 4 or 5X platinum.

Ciara Issues Gimme Dat Single Cover!

Image
This is the second supposed single cover I've seen of Ciara's newest single, "Gimme Dat". I have also read numerous things suggesting that this is the next single then its not. I'm not even sure at this point but its pretty safe to say this is Ciara's next single. Personally I don't like this single cover. The one I posted before looked much better. ---------------- Now playing: Lil Kim - Lil Kim - No Matter What People Say via FoxyTunes
