Music Feed: Trey Songz vs. Everybody

Image
It seems prior to Trey Songz releasing his newest album, "Tremaine" he's been embroiled in some pretty high profile celebrity feuds. Now whether or not these feuds are simply for publicity purposes or not, you will have to decide. I have decided to profile some of the feuds Trey has had publicly in the last few months or so because boy has it been a few. Remember when Trey got arrested while performing in Detroit? Well he later pleaded no contest but to be honest with you all I don't remember what he got arrested for. Do you? And we can't forget his feud with obnoxious actress, Keke Palmer. Keke was upset with Trey when she says her image was shown in a video without her permission. Trey shot back and said Keke was aware of a video being filmed. Last month Nicki Minaj got upset with Trey for not coming to her defense when Remy Ma accused her of sleeping with Trey in her "shEther" dis. Trey and Nicki traded some words on Twitter and Trey made light of t

Trey Songz calls out Nicki Minaj in new interview

Image
Trey Songz says Nicki Minaj wasn't "shit" before appearing on his hit single, "Bottoms Up". He also goes to say he's had issued with fellow singer, August Alsina. August replied afterwards and threatened to whoop Trey's "goofy ass". Trey also said that Chris Brown and the whole Soulja Boy fiasco was "corny" among other things. Trey Songz' new album, "Tremaine" is streaming now. Have you listened?  "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks has found out her divorce has been thrown out. On the show, it was reported that her divorce was final but a judge has thrown out the case citing that Phaedra inadvertently misspelled her name on the documents. I'm simply thinking Phaedra is drawing this divorce out to remain on the show because rumor has it that she's been on the chopping block. Phaedra contends that her husband, Apollo didn't want a divorce but he has definitely moved on from her as h

Ashanti reveals new music and Mariah Carey taps Remy Ma for remix

Image
Ashanti revealed that she has new music on the way during a recent interview. She says the song, "Lose Yourself" is unlike anything we've ever heard from her. We will be the judges of that but I do hope it is good. Ashanti recently wrapped up an overseas tour. I believe she is featured on the upcoming 2 Pac biopic soundtrack. It was produced by her friend and collaborator, LT Hutton(worked with Da Brat). Remy Ma is featured on the remix to Mariah Carey's single, "I Don't". It is a shady move from Carey who famously feuded with Remy's current nemesis, Nicki Minaj when they appeared on "American Idol" together. There is no word on whether or not Remy took a swipe at Nicki on the song but apparently Nicki has a lot more to say in regards to Remy. In addition to shooting a video for "No Frauds", Nicki has a few jabs for Remy on her latest collaboration with David Guetta and Lil' Wayne.  In other news.. Future reveals in

Nicki Minaj tops Aretha Franklin and Chris Brown gets called out

Image
Nicki Minaj has topped Aretha Franklin as the female with the most Hot 100 hits. Nicki placed three new songs on the chart this week with "No Frauds" leading the pack debuting at the #14. Nicki now has 76 Hot 100 chart entries. 32 of those entries are her as the lead artist and the other 44 are her as the featured artist. Nicki is currently filming the video to "No Frauds" in London. Congrats Nicki!  Model and actor Tyson Beckford was a guest on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" and he was asked about his feud with Chris Brown. Tyson insinuated that Brown was on "drugs"(as its been reported by the media) and suggested he get professional help. I couldn't agree more. Chris hasn't clapped back yet(that I'm aware of) but look out for a clap back sooner than later.  Matt Jordan; hired ex-boyfriend of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star; Kenya Moore called out Kenya in an Instagram rant saying she sold her body to Nige

Chris Brown teases new album release and Drake releases "More Life"

Image
Chris Brown has revealed that his new album, "Privacy" will be available next week and its for the "ladies". The album will likely feature the single, "Party" featuring Usher and Gucci Mane. You all looking forward to a new Chris Brown album? Speaking of new album, Drake released his new album; "More Life" on March 18 and it immediately had the Internet buzzing. The album features appearances by Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Young Thug and more. Jennifer Lopez was rumored to be featured on the album but after her and Drake's supposed falling out, she was replaced with singer Jorja Smith. Jennifer's own song, "If You Had My Love" is sampled on "Teenage Fever" which is one of the album's standouts. In the opening track, "Free Smoke", Drake admits to drunk texting J-Lo. Interesting.  Another new album worth checking out is Rick Ross' "Rather You Than Me" featuring the song "Idols Become

Azealia Banks must undergo go anger management classes

Image
Azealia Banks finally got her day in court today! Azealia Banks has to take anger management classes and undergo mental illness therapy in order to avoid jail time for biting a female bouncer in the breast. Awhile back Azealia got denied entry into a club when the bouncer didn't recognize her and bit her and was arrested. Snoop Dogg is under fire for dissing Trump but everyone says bad true things about him. I don't know why Snoop is being targeted. Bow Wow, Snoop's nephew came to his defense on social media. Jennifer Lopez is now dating baseball player Alex Rodriguez. J-Lo had all the blogs talking when it was reported she was dating Drake awhile back. On to the next... The drama revolving around "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" star Kirk Frost and his wife Rasheeda continues to get messier. The woman, Jasmine who claims to have a baby by Kirk is being exposed as a liar by various media outlets. There's also stories circulating from a woman claiming

Nicki Minaj blasts Party Next Door over new song

Image
Nicki Minaj's new song, "Regret In Your Tears" is being touted as a Party Next Door(song: "Not Nice") knock off and Nicki Minaj quickly defended the song by denying the accusations. Party Next Door's screenshots of his Twitter likes reveals he was feeling similar to others about the song's similarity in his melodies and so forth. I do notice that Nicki is always blasting men(Safaree, Trey Songz, Party Next Door) publicly and women(Remy Ma etc.) privately. Remy Ma accused Nicki of stopping her "bag"(money) behind the scenes.  Speaking of Remy Ma, two other female rappers have weighed in on Remy's feud with Nicki Minaj. Khia(song: "My Neck My Back") posted a meme on social media asking her followers to name 5 Remy Ma songs and even allowed them to name the several she has with Fat Joe. Clearly Khia was being messy because there is not many people that can name 5 songs of hers. Khia went one step further by posting a picture of

Nicki Minaj responds to Remy Ma in new song, "No Frauds"

Image
Nicki finally responds. Low and behold Nicki Minaj FINALLY responded to Remy Ma's "shEther" dis! Late last night Nicki unveiled not one but three new songs. "No Frauds" featuring Drake and Lil' Wayne takes aim at Remy Ma and some of the claims she's made on "shEther". On the song Nicki says Remy Ma has also had surgery to look like friend and reality star, Rah Ali. She also made light of the fact that Remy went to jail over a stack(of money)  and how could she leave her son for so long for her dumb decision basically. The song was met with mixed response. Nicki fans immediately embraced the song and its commercial appeal. Others feel that Nicki should have come harder and I agree. Yes! I'm glad Nicki finally responded but I was expecting something along the lines of "Romans Revenge" when Nicki really came hard. I did expect Nicki to throw some jabs at Nicki by way of collaboration and I was right.  Nicki was feeling very c

Ciara debuts weird family photo and Future may have a sex tape

Image
Slip of the finger So I was on TheShadeRoom and I saw a post where it showed that Kelly Rowland liked a comment someone made regarding a new family picture Ciara posted. The picture in question is of Ciara with her pregnant belly showing and her son, Future; naked covering her breast and her husband; Russell Wilson with his face in her behind covered holding her hips. Click here to see the picture for yourself . I do feel the picture is a bit much. I do feel that Ciara is an attention whore. I mean if no one buys your music like that anymore you must do something to keep people's attention and she definitely does that. I was surprised to see Kelly Rowland like a not so kind comment about Ciara considering they're supposed to be friends. Then again these R&B girls are always falling out with each other so you can truly never keep up. Do you all remember when BeyoncƩ's mother liked a not so kind comment about Jennifer Hudson and got called out on it? She ended up pos

Trina and Trick Daddy plan joint album and "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" premieres

Image
Trick or Trina Trina and Trick Daddy are planning a joint album together to be released through Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic Records. The album is slated to be released by year's end. Meanwhile Trina's new album is slated to be released next month. She is shooting a video for her new single featuring K. Michelle.  "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" premiered tonight and the premiere episode was pretty explosive. Rasheeda's husband, Kirk was accused of fathering a baby by a woman named Jazmine. Yung Joc and Karlie Redd are back together. Joseline is six months pregnant and hasn't spoken to Stevie J. Tommie has been trying to stay out of jail and out of trouble period. Mimi is in yet another lesbian relationship. No surprise there. The rest of the ensemble cast was not shown but will likely be shown on the second episode.  "T.I. & Tiny: A Family Hustle" will air this April on VH1 and the network previewed a teaser with headlines involving the couple&

Album Review: Fat Joe & Remy Ma - Plata O Plomo

Image
Fat Joe and Remy Ma released their joint album, "Plata O Plomo"(Money or Bullets) on February 17. The album contains the hit single, "All The Way Up", "Cookin'" and "Money Showers". The album features a star studded list of guests including Sevyn Streeter and The-Dream(song: "Heartbreak"). The opening track, "Warning" is pure New York Hip Hop and features a tour de force verse from Remy Ma who takes shots at some unnamed adversaries(Foxy Brown). Remy really earns her stripes on this album as she out raps Fat Joe in my opinion. She is really spittin' on this album as if her life depended on it. "Spaghetti" is a standout with vocals from Kent Jones(song: "I Don't Mind"), who guests vocals on a few songs. The legendary Stephanie Mill guests on "Dreamin'". "How Can I Forget" is another standout. The whole album in my opinion is good for anyone who is a fan of female rap and

Single Review: Gucci Mane featuring Nicki Minaj - "Make Love" [official Audio]

Image
Weeks ago Gucci Mane dropped his collaboration with Nicki Minaj titled, "Make Love". The song was to believed to have sparked the "shEther" diss from Remy Ma. Some have even said that Nicki's verse was aimed at Azealia Banks and Remy Ma has misfired. Remy explained on "Wendy" that Nicki was being sneaky and underhanded behind the scenes towards her. In typical Nicki fashion, the verse is full of punchlines and Nicki's quirkiness. One of the reasons why I decided to even highlight this song and give it a review is because its one of my favorite songs right now. Its very catchy to me. My favorite line is "Sit your bum ass down you got an F on your test!".

Foxy Brown releases dis track aimed at Remy Ma

Image
Deaf Jam I apologize for the lack of updates. Hell, I didn't realize it had been so many days since my last update. I will call this post the "Female Rap Edition" because honestly this is the most female rappers have been talked about in quite some time. So Foxy Brown has inserted herself into the feud between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. But this goes back to what I was saying in the "shEther" song when Remy said "deaf bitch" she was talking about Foxy. The line was one that went over many people's head. But I knew Remy was talking about Foxy all along and apparently so did she. Not one to bite her tongue, Foxy came blazing with "Break's Over" a dis to Remy. The dis track sample's Jay Z's "Takeover" which was Jay Z's response to Nas' "Ether" track. Foxy wastes no time going in on Remy and defending Nicki. Foxy's song had twitter on fire yesterday as "Foxy" and "Break's Over
