So Good! Songs With Good In The Title!

Image
After the steamy video clip of Day 26's, "So Good", I came up with the idea of listing a few well-known and not so well-known songs that features the title 'good' in it. Of course they are tons and tons of songs but these are some of the first few songs that popped up in my head. Ashanti - Good Good Ashanti went to #30 R&B with this hit song about having what it takes to keep a man locked down and coming back for more. The song's video featured Ashanti as a 1950's housewife cooking, cleaning, and kissing on hubby Nelly! Whitney Houston - You Give Good Love This song is one of Whitney Houston's many signature ballad in a list long of ballads that go back over 20 years. Anita Baker - Good Love You can hear this song on any urban adult contemporary station today. A very nice cut from Ms. Baker. Rich Boy featuring Keri Hilson & Polow Da Don - Good Things Perhaps this is one of Polow Da Don's most underrated productions but here the producer get...

Music Biz: Natalie Cole Gets New Kidney! Rhythm and blues singer Natalie Cole, who has been battling Hepatitis C, received a new kidney in Los Angeles and is resting comfortably, her spokeswoman said on Wednesday.Cole, the 59-year-old daughter of R&B legend Nat "King" Cole, underwent surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The kidney came from a deceased organ donor, the spokeswoman said in a statement. She has been receiving kidney dialysis three times a week since September, even as she toured the world to promote her new album, "Still Unforgettable." Cole will recuperate for the next three to four months, forcing her to postpone a summer tour, the statement said. I was just watching Natalie Cole on "Larry King Live" a few weeks ago and I am glad to hear she finally got her kidney. ---------------- Now playing: Electrik Red - Drink In My Cup (Produced By Tricky And The-Dream) via FoxyTunes

Rasheeda - Boss Chick (Video)

The name Rasheeda may not resonate with many but she is not a new female rapper by any means. Rasheeda burst onto the scene in 2000 with her debut, "Dirty South". Rasheeda is best described as a mixture of other southern female rappers such as Khia and Trina. What's the difference? Well she possesses the materialism often heard in Trina's lyrics. She combines a lot of the ghetto sleaze you hear in Khia's rhymes(that's of course if you listen to her). I'm not sure where this song(video) is from but obviously Rasheeda has a new album in the works. Music Biz: Faith Evans, still promoting and talking about Biggie since the release of "Notorious" on DVD sits and talks with Jenny Boom. The interview comes in two parts. Elektric Red 'Good' With Lil' Wayne On New Remix

"So Good" is one of my favorites songs right now. I can still remember the first time I heard it and how quickly I fell in love with the song. Now the song has gotten the remix treatment courtesy of Lil' Wayne. You can't go wrong with Lil' Wayne huh? Personally I think the song is perfect without him but I do like this video and the dance steps. Video: Elektric Red feat Lil' Wayne - So Good Remix

Elektric Red 'To Be A Lady' On Debut Album

Image
Trashy, controversial, and headstrong, Elektric Red are slowly becoming the new bad girls of R&B and hip hop. Their Dream assisted album contains the hit single, "So Good" which is one of my favorite songs right now. The video of the song is even better and recalls the Mary Jane Girls. Elektric Red's debut album, "How To Be A Lady Vol 1" will be in stores May 26. Not only can you check out the cool album cover to the right but also the track listing. 01. Devotion 02. P is For Power 03. Freaky Freaky 04. Friend Lover 05. Muah 06. 9 to 5 07. So Good 08. Bed Rest 09. On Point 10. We F U 11. Drink in My Cup 12. Go Shawty 13. Kill Bill 14. So Good (Remix) (featuring Lil' Wayne) I could personally do without the "So Good" remix with Lil' Wayne. He doesn't add anything more to the song. I think it was better untouched. I just felt like if they did a remix they should of totally switched it up in my opinion. Day 26 can currently be seen causing...

Trey Songz, Monica Plan Stargate Produced Singles

The production duo of Stargate[worked with Beyonce]will be responsible for two lead singles from two of R&B's premier vocalists, Trey Songz and Monica. First up is Trey Songz who will be releasing his new album, "Ready" this summer. The album is led by the single, "I Need A Girl". Next is Monica who's oft-delayed "Still Standing" album will drop this Spring/Summer. The album is led by the single, "Taxi". If you recall "Taxi" leaked out in snippet form a few months back. I am really looking forward to Monica's new album and I hope she delivers as promised. As for Trey I will have to hear the new song to decide if I will be checking for his new album or not. Am I the only one that feels like Nick Cannon has been pretty absent in the media lately? Ever since his marriage to Mariah Carey, Nick has been laying low. Now the entertainer visited Chicago's B96 and made a surprise call to a certain someone. Check it out! Video...
