Hello all! Last night I was watching VH1's "100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs" and this led to today's throwback video. West Coast rapstress Yo-Yo burst onto the scene in 1990. She was introduced to us by Ice Cube. She may be known for her sole hit but Yo-Yo's legacy lives on. Most recently we saw her on VH1's "Miss Rap Supreme". Seeing this video brought back a lot of childhood memories. I remember seeing this video all throughout because my sister and I always watched a lot of videos.

Anyway I decided to post Mya's debut single, "It's All About Me" featuring Sisqo. It was exactly 10 years ago when Ms. Mya hit the scene with this R&B gem. The song samples the Art Of Noise classic, "Moments In Love". The chemistry between Mya and Sisqo ultimately led many to believe they were dating. Hello all! I was just browsing YouTube when Janet's "All For You" video was recommended for my viewing. So I watched the video after not seeing it in years and decided to make it the "Throwback Video". Released in 2001, "All For You" the single went to #1 and stayed there for 7 weeks. The album of the same name was Janet's last big album here in states selling over 3 million copies.

I was skimming YouTube today actually in search of a Trina song. Since I didn't find it I came across some of her videos. Low and behold I came across Trina's biggest hit to date, "Here We Go" feat Kelly Rowland. I figured it would make a perfect candidate for throwback video. Check it out! Originally this song featured Teedra Moses who co-wrote the track but was placed in favor of Kelly Rowland. The Teedra Moses version is still floating around out there somewhere.

I can be a very impatient person especially when it comes to new music. I hate when I really anticipate an album and its two months away.
