The singer who is currently on tour with Robin Thicke is planning a musical based on her album Rebellious Soul. The musical will be in the vein of her mentor R.Kelly's Trapped In The Closet. Actor Idris Elba is said to be directing the musical. How bout that? In two weeks K. Michelle will release a new mixtape Still No Fucks Given or at least I think that's the name of it.

RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Tamar Braxton‘s husband, songwriter and producer Vincent Herbert, was recently slapped with a federal tax lien for more than $3 million! According to court records obtained by Radar, the IRS has ordered the Braxton Family Values star to pay up to the tune of $3,325,107.70. For the tax period ending in 2010, they claim, he failed to pay $66,315.30 to the IRS. The next year, he skipped payment on a whopping $2,267,845.97. After demanding a police escort, rhythm & blues singer Brandy failed to show up at an Austin music festival and left the promoter holding the bag, an Austin nonprofit claims in court. Soul Tree Collective sued Brandy Norwood in Travis County Court. Soul Tree hosts the Austin Urban Music Festival each year, a prime support of its charitable activities. Soul Tree claims it hired Norwood for $30,000 to headline the 2013 festival, and also paid for her hotel and travel, and leased equipment as required by contract. And as we move into February tidbits to upcoming projects are starting to be revealed. Now on to some more music news. It's been reported that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis is in the studio with Mary J. Blige. This is the first bit of news we've received in regards to Mary J. Blige as she records her new album which is slated to be released this year. Mary had a nice little run with her Christmas album A Mary Christmas now bring on a full length studio album! Speaking of new albums, Justin Timberlake just collaborated with T.I. on a track that will appear on his new album Paperwork . And speaking of JT the singer was a no show at this years Grammy where he won multiple awards. I'm assuming JT had another commitment cause usually he is at every awards ceremony where he is nominated.

It's being said that Beyonce lipped her Grammy performance of Drunk In Love . I watched the performance and even a clip of where its alleged she's lip syncing but I digress. While I'm on the subject of Beyonce, Wendy Williams reported on her show earlier today that Jennifer Hudson threw shade at Beyonce. There was an interview where J-Hud reportedly made a comment about being too old to sing about being in the club or something to that effect. Kelis has unveiled the cover art to her new album FOOD due on April 22. The album features the first single Jerk Ribs . A video for the song was shot and is set to debut anytime now. FOOD is reported to be available in Standard and Deluxe editions and will be a two disc set. So what do you all think about the new Kelis album cover? I like it personally. I think one of the biggest upsets I saw on Twitter and Facebook was that Kendrick Lamar won none of the seven awards he was nominated for. There were bits and pieces of the Grammy telecast that I missed. I was switching between the Grammys and RHOA. I did manage to compile the most up-to-date list of the Grammy winners, performers, and presenters. Like I said its not every single winner but its the majority of them. It turns out Michelle is not too privy of Beyonce singing about her sex life on her new self-titled album. Michelle says "we don't need to know all that". Maybe not. Still it makes for an interesting listen and makes Beyonce appear more human than she has in years in my opinion. Of course the open sexuality Beyonce has expressed on this album took a minute to get used to but I love it personally. Hmmm...sounds like a party! In other music...I read that Mary J. Blige's father is in Battle Creek, MI hospital where he suffered three stab wounds to the neck. It was all after an altercation with his estranged lover. Apparently the couple who has been on and off have had a history of violence and physical altercations in their relationship. Unfortunately when you have a history as fiery as their two, something like this is bound to happen. Hopefully Mary's father makes the full recovery he needs and to leave that wild woman ALONE!

She feels the title is used too loosely these days which it is. She says she's a "woman who sings her heart out and puts 120 percent" in, which we're aware of. So what do you think about what Ms. Patti has to say? Do you agree or do you think she's just being a bitter old woman? I dunno. I like Ms. Patti but sometimes I think Patti can be a little harsh even when she doesn't intend to be but when your older, you pretty much say whatever and don't think twice. Next!

While we're on the subject of Beyonce, her former Destiny's Child band mate LeToya Luckett has gone indie and signed with eOne Records. The singer's first two solo albums were released through Capitol Records. eOne seems to be the indie record label to be on. It seems like virtually every other R&B artists is signed to eOne from Ashanti to Donell Jones to Vivian Green to now LeToya Luckett. What do you all think about LeToya being indie now?? I personally think some artists are better suited on a major label like Faith Evans but at the end of the day, the artist has to do what is best for them.

The new untitled album will feature the album's first single I Can't Describe(The Way I Feel) featuring T.I. and produced by Pharrell. Timbaland and R. Kelly also had a hand in production on the new album. You all ready for a new J-Hud album? I like J-Hud. Never been to crazy about her albums but I will say her last two singles from her last album were in constant rotation with me.

Michelle on tour with Robin Thicke which jumps off in Atlanta. While I'm on the subject of K. Michelle I remember hearing about her starring in another VH1 vehicle No New Friends but I'm not sure what became of it. Maybe someone who follows K. Michelle may know but I was curiously thinking about it as I did this write up on her.

Other performers set to perform on the Grammy stage include Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell, John Legend, and more. Will you be tuned in? I'm sure I will be turning back and forth between the Grammy telecast and The Real Housewives of Atlanta . I get more excited about the Grammy nominations than the actual awards telecast. I found the telecast to be rather boring and just a performance showcase for many of the artists nominated. That is all!

I did stumble upon the new rumored list of celebrities appearing on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice. This is a list you have to see to believe because it features all types of juiciness. The list of celebrites said to appear on the new season of Celebrity Apprentice are K. Michelle, Kenya Moore( Real Housewives of Atlanta ), Snooki, Ludacris, Scott Disick( Keeping Up With Kardashians ), and "surprise surprise" Lindsay Lohan. Kenya Moore reportedly retweeted the tweet on Twitter that went out announcing the new cast mates. If this is indeed true the new season of Celebrity Apprentice will likely air within the next month or two as it typically airs around February or March. I am looking forward to this season and I will be perched right in front of the TV screen, you can believe that!

Ashanti has revealed the new and improved cover from her long delayed album BraveHeart now due on February 18. If you recall the cover that was going around previously had been an outtake from her The Woman You Love video. Ashanti contends that the previous album cover was never the official album cover. BraveHeart will feature Ashanti's newest song I Got It featuring Rick Ross. A video for the song is said to debut soon. So what do you all think of new Ashanti album cover? The new single will be the lead off single to the new Mariah Carey album due in April. Back in November Mariah premiered the song The Art of Letting Go . Due to the mixed response the plans to release the single were nixed. Rightfully so. I think The Art of Letting Go is a nic song but not for a single. I don't know what they were thinking with that. I wonder will Mariah still call her new album The Art of Letting Go ? I guess we shall know soon enough. I was watching MTV's Ridiculousness and saw Carmen Electra and it made me think of her video for the single, Go Go Dancer. The song was likely produced by Prince as his influence on the song is pretty obvious. Carmen also dated Prince at the time who is responsible for giving Carmen Electra her stage name as we know it today. I remember the song and video for Go Go Dancer as it was pretty popular on The Box, remember that? One of their taglines were "Music television you control!". Those were the days!
