Drake sells 600K+ copies in the first day of his new album,"Views". "Views" is an iTunes exclusive for an entire week before it lands in stores and other streaming apps. Upon its release on April 29, the album and its song titles were all trending on Twitter. Drake samples Brandy on "Fire & Desire" and Mary J. Blige throughout the 20 track. Drake touches on his relationship with Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill. Rihanna, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future, Pimp C, and OVO artists round out the guest artists. "Lemonade" is on track to sale 600 thousand copies in its full first week which will give it the coveted #1 spot on Billboard. Shortly after "Lemonade" aired, people began to speculate who exactly Beyoncé was referring to when she sung "Becky with the good hair". As expected Beyoncé debuted her album film, "Lemonade" on HBO on Saturday and it immediately began trending on Twitter. The "Lemonade" movie which also serves as the title as Beyoncé's new album was inspired by the quote, "I was served lemons, but I made Lemonade" hence the title. The project revolves around Jay-Z's rumored infidelity which is told in equal parts songs and poetry. There is images of Beyoncé's own family including her Mother, Father, and daughter. There were special appearances from Zendaya and Serena Williams among others. Each song in the film is a song that appears on the album which appears in chronological order to the album sequence. I just actually finished watching the film and I thought it was really good. I really feel like it was some next level shit! I liked all the songs as well. Today we learned of the untimely death of legend Prince. I was at work today when I head the sad news. At first we all thought it was a hoax but soon after reputable sources like People magazine and CNN confirmed his death. Prince was found at 9:47 a.m. in his elevator unconscious. 10:03 a.m. the singer was pronounced dead. Reports say that Prince had a drug overdose a few days ago and had to make an emergency landing while on his way home. The media reported that Prince had the flu and would be in the hospital. It was just announced awhile back that Prince was about to pen his memoir for release in 2017. He was said to had been 50 pages deep. He also acquired his music back from Warner Bros. and he was set to work on new music for the label. Expect a resurgence in Princes' album sales in the coming weeks. Prince will be remembered his bold style, his choice of women, his musicianship, his shade, and lots more. R.I.P.

Azealia Banks was caught shading Beyoncé on Twitter and of course the Beyhive went in, sort of. Azealia tweeted that the "queen" would be doing more bad acting. She joked! Of course the "joke" didn't go over too well with many but what else is new. I feel Azealia was telling the truth. Beyoncé is not a good actor. She didn't say she wasn't a good singer. She didn't say she was a bad performer. Anyway speaking of Beyoncé her "Lemonade" mini movie(or whatever its being called) will actually be available to everyone since HBO has a free preview this weekend. That's good so now I can watch it! So there was a report I read that Rihanna was allegedly upset at Jay Z and Tidal for her recent album rollout of "Anti". Even though the album is now a hit, it was revealed the album only sold 460 copies its in first week. Tidal blamed a system error for the album leaking out two days prior to its release which resulted in free downloads of the album. In the coming weeks, Rihanna's album sales have benefited from her hit single, "Work" and her name alone. The album is approaching gold status so I think she'll be okay in the long run. Sorry for the lack of updates people but let's get right into it. I read a few days ago that Lil' Kim was supposed to be apart of DC Gay Pride show. The show was to include Foxy Brown and Remy Ma but all on separate nights. Immediately Kim came out and denied that she was apart of the fracas. Days later the promoters released documents sent to Kim's people where she was all set to perform and received her $12,000 fee. Once Kim found out that Foxy Brown was set to perform as well, Kim backed out. She returned the money and wanted to forget all about the show so that's why she initially denied she had anything to do with it. It's also being said that Nicki Minaj caught the shade Iggy Azalea threw at her on "Watch What Happens Live". Iggy made a reference to Nicki Minaj having multiple writers on songs, when she claimed during an acceptance speech that she writes all her rhymes. This is the first time that I can recall Iggy actually throwing shade at Nicki but Nicki deserved it to be honest. Nicki has been throwing shade at Iggy for awhile and Iggy has always been supportive of Nicki. I feel like Nicki is somewhat threatened by Iggy's success because at one point it seemed like Iggy's success could possibly eclipse Nicki's. What do you think?
