Former Bad Boy rapper G-Dep is being held without bail in a New York jail, after admitting to murdering a man during a robbery attempt in October of 1993.----------------
The extraordinary tale began on Wednesday (December 15th), when G-Dep, born Trevell Coleman, walked into the 25th Precinct and admitted to killing a man named John Henkel in the James Weldon Johnson housing projects in Queens.
According to the New York Post, G-Dep walked in and confessed to the murder after 17-years of living with the burred. He told police officers he rolled up on Henkel on Park Ave and 114th street and announced a robbery.
When Henkel resisted, G-Dep shot the man three times in the chest and throw his gun into the East River.
G-Dep, 36, had been arrested over 25 times for a variety of charges, including drugs, burglary and now, murder.
The rapper released one album for Bad Boy titled Child of the Ghetto, which produced the hit single "Let's Get It."
G-Dep was charged with murder and is being held without bail.

The Maricopa County Superior Court revoked the rap star’s probation from 2009, stemming from a conviction on fraud charges, identity theft, assault and a variety of other misdemeanor charges. DMX, born Earl Simmons, will be sent back to prison for a full year, after he was arrested on November 18th by officers who arrested the rapper for failing to check in with probation officers and abusing prescription drugs without a prescription.----------------
DMX tested positive for cocaine and oxycontin and admitted to using drinking alcohol, another violating of the terms of his probation. DMX will spend his time in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s infamous Tent City jail, where inmates are forced to wear pink, stripped jail suits.
Earlier this week Philly rapper Beanie Sigel and radio personality Star put their personal differences aside to talk music, Kanye West, Damon Dash, and more on the Star & Bucwild Show on Philadelphia’s Power 100.3.Chrisette Michele, Def Jam Sued!
Shortly after Star mentioned Beanie’s loyalty to Damon Dash the rapper revealed that he has no loyalty to Dash and that he’s owed millions of dollars by him.
“I ain’t loyal to Dame. Dame owe me some money,” Beanie explained. “My own lawyer found about 11-million that Dame stole from me…He filing bankruptcy. I’ll spend a million dollars just to say a person owe me? I have a piece of paper that say he owe me some money. Who wants to go through that?”
Beanie also referred to Dash’s support during his legal problems as a “façade” and nothing more than “smoke and mirrors.”
Beanie didn’t have too much to say when asked about fellow rapper Kanye West, but had plenty to say about ex drug dealer Tommy Hill.
“It’s a known fact that he’s a rat. We was in the same jail, Fairton,” said Beanie when asked about Hill. “I was in the hole and he was on the other side in protective custody. He’s a rat.”
A lawsuit against Def Jam involving R&B singer Chrisette Michele has been cleared to move forward through the New York judicial system. Judges for the New York Supreme Court rejected the label's request to dismiss the lawsuit.----------------
Douglas "Biggs" Ellison filed a lawsuit against Island Def Jam Music Group, Shalik Berry (A&R) and Michele's parents Lynette and Lemuel Payne in June of 2008, alleging that all parties mentioned engaged in unlawful business practices in an attempt to free Michele of her exclusive contracts with his Queens-based production company, Four Kings Productions Inc. Michele herself initiated the litigation three years ago when she filed a lawsuit against Four Kings, claiming Ellison, the CEO, embezzled money from her Def Jam contract and harassed her.
"As soon as the artist’s mother saw that Chrisette was receiving money, all a direct result of the efforts of the production company under its contracts with the artist, Lynette Payne quit her job as a teacher and, in willful disregard of the artist’s contractual obligations to Four Kings, usurped management functions regarding her daughter’s newly found success, in an effort to keep the money in the family," Ellison claims in the lawsuit.
Ellison and Michele's business relationship was also romantic. Ellison is seeking $20 million in damages.
Featuring lush orchestration, pop sensibilities and a flawless voice with a nearly unheard-of five-octave range, Angelica’s Remember Who You Are brims with a confidence rarely found in a debut release.
The album’s nine original tracks – including the new single & video You’re My Reflection (www.bit.ly/igeBhL) – are written and produced by Angelica; a welcome anomaly for a genre where outside songwriters and producers are often the norm.
In a truly unique innovation, accompanying the CD is Remember Who You Are – The Story Behind the Song, a beautiful 130-page book that provides an in-depth narrative background on each of the songs and the life experiences that formed them.
The book also serves as a heart wrenching autobiography. Angelica’s personal back-story is in stark contrast to the diva lifestyle often associated with female pop-classical singers. Born and raised in communist Romania, her family lived in extremely modest conditions, under constant threat of government persecution.
Gifted with a natural musical talent and a tireless work ethic, Angelica had the makings of a promising career early on, one that lead to television appearances and non-stop touring. Sadly, her subsequent joy of moving to North America was marred by a painfully difficult and controlling marriage. Angelica was cut off from her loved ones back home and forced to abandon all musical aspirations. As such, the first few years out here saw her alone, discouraged and stripped of all confidence, working as a telemarketer and selling gas door to door.
Over time, Angelica slowly built up the courage and inner strength to leave her marriage, start life over, and begin pursuing her dream of music once again. Which brings us to present day. Remember Who You Are chronicles Angelica’s journey through the darkness into light. This is a rich, personal album of faith, inspiration, willpower and liberation.
This past September, Angelica made her mark on Toronto International Film Festival audiences when she spontaneously decided to sing a few songs outside Yorkville’s Vaticano Restaurant. Literally hundreds of people spilled into the street to watch, prompting the awe-struck police to reluctantly shut things down.
Remember Who You Are is now available for order at Walmart, Borders, & Barnes&Noble, and for download on iTunes.

Aretha Franklin's cousin says the ailing legendary singer is "doing better than doctors expected" and expects to be released from the hospital this weekend.----------------
Brenda Corbett tells the Detroit Free Press for a Thursday story that Franklin "has a long life in front of her and will be back in concert, on stage, late spring or early summer."
Franklin announced last week that she had undergone a surgical procedure. Neither she nor her publicist have said what is ailing the 68-year-old Queen of Soul.
The Rev. Jesse Jackson told The Associated Press on Wednesday that he visited Franklin four or five times and her spirits "are high and her faith is strong."
Franklin last month canceled all concert dates and personal appearances through May on doctors' orders.

This weekend, Young Jeezy was arrested in the Bahamas. It seems the emcee was arrested on Saturday, December 4, after an incident that occurred before a concert in New Providence. The emcee was released before this show in the Bahamas and was able to hit the stage.
"He was here with us a short while, he passed through the station briefly on Saturday," Superintendent Ashton Greenslade, the officer-in-charge of the Wulff Road Station told The Tribune. "He was booked in here and taken to CDU (Central Detective Unit)."
No additional details were given as to why Jeezy was arrested. Jason Cartwright, a promoter, confirmed the news on Facebook, noting that, "People tried to shut us down, yea' Jeezy was locked up, he out now (about) to beat the stage bad tonight."

While Ross and Diddy may be calling themselves the Bugatti boys, you can add Jay-Z to the group as Beyonce bought her hubby the new Bugatti Veyron Sport.
The couple who are currently in Australia together as Jigga tours with U2, had a nice birthday dinner on the rooftop of a restaurant. The waiter who served them said the pair were just like an ordinairy couple.
"They sat together all night and were in no way prima donnas - there were no egg-white omelettes ordered, if you know what I mean. They looked like any normal couple yet are multi-million-dollar megastars . . . and they tipped well."
Jay-Z is not the only celebrating in Australia, as Oprah's audience members began on their luxurious Australian giveaway and may possibly run into Jay and B on their vacation.
Although the car is nice, I'm pretty sure waking up to Beyonce makes everyday your birthday!
