The singer no longer wanted to work under head Sylvia Rhone, who the singer had creative differences with. Arie felt her last album, "Testimony" was not promoted properly. It is no longer surprising to learn an artist is unhappy with their label, let alone their boss. Sylvia Rhone has a reputation for being "difficult" and shelving and/or delaying albums. Wow! It seems like old times seeing Ashanti and Ja Rule on stage together. Ashanti has went into overdrive with the promotional rounds. I was surprised when it was revealed that her newest album, "The Declaration" is on track to sell near 80K copies in its first week. This is very disappointing by Ashanti's standards. Ashanti usually has strong first week sales. With all this promotion she is doing, she should have a huger first week. I know how first week sales are very important to labels but fans as well.
