Rihanna just released her video for her new single, "Sledgehammer" from the "Star Trek" soundtrack. From what I saw the video looks a little trippy and Rihanna looks demonic. I read the song was written by Sia(worked with Christina Aguilera). Rihanna also just collected her 21st top 5 hit with "This Is What It's Made For" featuring Calvin Harris(I believe that's the name of the song). Congrats to Rihanna! Rihanna is currently overseas on her "ANTI World Tour" and interestingly enough Beyoncé is overseas as well on her "Formation World Tour". The Academy Awards has finally decided to "blacken" their Academy by announcing 46 new members to the Academy. Beyoncé opened up the 2016 BET Awards last night with a performance of the song, "Freedom" and she was joined by Kendrick Lamar and abruptly left the show. Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson accepted Beyoncé's awards in her honor. Someone told me at work that Bey had to leave to go to London. Is that true? While I didn't personally watch the BET Awards telecast, I was informed through social media at many of the aha moments and performances. The meme pokes fun at the notion of ordering a product online and once you receive it in the mail, its nothing like it appeared originally. I want to first start by saying prayers go out to the families, friends, and loved ones who lost someone due to the Orlando club shooting. It is a very sad and unfortunate event. VH1 has revealed that they will honor Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott for this year's "Hip Hop Honors". The telecast this year will honor women in Hip Hop. Beyoncé is being sued by a guy who claims her "Lemonade" video ripped off his video. He is alleging that he had been in contact with Beyoncé's reps; including Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. They were interested in a treatment for her "Lemonade" video but ultimately didn't use him to direct the piece. Instead the guy is claiming that Beyoncé stole his video concept evident in her trailer for "Lemonade" which was released nearly two months ago. Angela Simmons of "Run's House" fame and an entrepreneur is feeling the heat as her fiancé has been alleged to have cheated on her.
