Solange quits social media amid racial tensions

  • Solange has had enough! The "Cranes In The Sky" singer recently deleted her Twitter account amid the racial tension and fights in southern U.S.
  • Rapper MC Lyte(song: "Ruffneck") recently tied the knot in Jamaica. Many are surprised at the emcee's recent nuptials because it was believed that MC Lyte was gay(or bisexual). Congrats to MC Lyte and her husband!
  • People have been talking about rapper Cardi B. and her choice words during a recent performance. Cardi B. said something along the lines of, people not really liking her but pretending to. Many felt that her words were aimed at Nicki Minaj. Cardi B. shot back denying the claim. Nicki Minaj even responded shutting down any talk of a rift. You know how people do? They have to pit the female rappers against one another as always. I think the fact that Cardi B. has a high charting single that's been compared to Nicki Minaj's highest charting single, "Anaconda", comparisons are likely? I'm sure Nicki Minaj is not concerned with Cardi B's one hit to her eighty. Then again Nicki Minaj felt a way about Iggy Azalea once she started having a lot of success because finally someone was nipping at her heels(in terms of chart success). Let's hope these women can play nice and not be influenced by these men(and fans) who want to see them feud. It's just like when people were pitting Remy Ma against Nicki Minaj or vice versa. Now that the two are at odds and have feuded like many wanted to, now people feel the beef is stale, which it is.
  • Azealia Banks is going on a world tour. Meanwhile she is releasing a previously released song, "Venus" to radio! Why? I'm not sure but Azealia has a habit of reviving older songs of hers. There is totally nothing wrong with this practice. She does have an extensive catalog of songs that the public needs to hear. I'm not sure how I feel about "Venus" being sent to radio but who am I to come between a girl and her radio single? Azealia also just shot a video to her single, "Escapades" and she previewed it via her Instagram account. I was so so about the song but the preview of the video definitely has me intrigued. I can't wait to see it!
  • Rapper Khia(song: "My Neck My Back") has developed quite the reputation online for her outspoken nature. Much of Khia's commentary and opinions deal primarily with the hot topics in the R&B/Hip Hop community. Well recently Khia shared that she wants to see the ladies of Hip Hop go on tour. She said she wants to see Missy(Elliott), Foxy Brown, Lil' Kim, Gangsta Boo, Jacki O, etc. Now that would be monumental. Now who could pull off a concert like this? Khia believes Nicki is "Queen" and has the pull to make such a thing happen. What do you think? Would you like to see all these women on tour? I certainly would.
