Actress Chosen To Play Aaliyah in Upcoming Biopic

AGE AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A NUMBER: The big story today is that an actress has finally been chosen to portray the late great Aaliyah. Zendaya Coleman(Dancing With The Stars, Disney's Shake It Up) will portray Aaliyah in the film airing on VH1 this Fall. A biopic of Aaliyah has been in the works for quite some time. The idea of who should play Aaliyah has sparked many debates over the years. Interestingly enough there have been an onslaught of  biopics to come out of the woodworks in recent months. TLC, whose lives were chronicled in their own VH1 biopic was a hit with audiences and fans. Lifetime is producing the Whitney Houston biopic and 2 Pac's life will be chronicled on the big screen. The companies are seeing green with biopics right now so expect more of them in the future.
