Producer Spotlight: The Resurgence of Pharrell Williams

No producer is more in demand than Pharrell Williams. He has been churning out the hits since 1996(if I'm not mistaken). His early output included work with now legendary R&B girl groups SWV(song: Use Your Heart) and Total(song: When Boy Meets Girl). Now fast forward to 17 years and Pharrell Williams is still going strong!

You can currently hear Pharrell on Robin Thicke's #1 hit single Blurred Lines as well as Daft Punk's top 10 hit Get Lucky. If you think that's all Pharrell has up his sleeve then you have another thing coming. You can check out some of his upcoming collaborations below. If that's not enough I will even take a trip down memory lane highlighting a slew of songs Pharrell had a hand in producing.

Happy - Pharrell Williams
Pharrell can be heard on the lead single to the Despicable Me 2 movie. The song itself leaked out awhile back but the movie itself I'm not too sure about. I believe it will be in theaters in the coming weeks.

Reach Out Richard - Mayer Hawthorne
I was browsing Pharrell's Twitter page when he directed his followers to the newest song from Michigan native Mayer Hawthorne(a favorite of mine). Reach Out Richard will appear on Mayer Hawthorne's upcoming album Where Does This Door Go available on July 16.

Get Like Me - Nelly Featuring Nicki Minaj & Pharrell
I just heard the new single from Nelly only moments ago and its safe to say this song may give Nelly the hit he needs. The song will appear on Nelly's new album M.O. in stores later this year.

Feds Watching - 2 Chainz Featuring Pharrell
2 Chainz wasted no time following up his debut album and announcing his new single(which has leaked out awhile back). It will appear on the upcoming album B.O.A.T. II: Me Time in stores September 10.

ATM Jam - Azealia Banks Featuring Pharrell
The much hyped about new single from Azealia Banks. Pharrell recently tweeted Azealia stating that the single was almost ready. There was a video of Pharrell performing what was said to be the chorus of the song originally meant for Swizz Beats.

Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke Featuring T.I. & Pharrell
The #1 hit song is being dubbed the "Song of the Summer" with its infectious bassline and catchy melody. Pharrell, Robin Thicke, and sometimes T.I. have been performing this song all over.

Feet To The Fire/Street Life - Kelly Rowland Featuring Pharrell & Pusha T
Pharrell had a hand in producing a few cuts on Kelly Rowland's new album Talk A Good Game in stores and online now! Feet To The Fire finds Kelly crooning alongside Pharrell in a song that would easily suit Kelis(during her Neptune heyday). Street Life features Pusha T.

Get Lucky - Daft Punk Featuring Pharrell
I never heard this song but its a Billboard Top 10 hit and it currently gives Pharrell two songs in the Pop Top 10; a feature that is not easy to come by and has only been done by the likes of artists like Ashanti, The Beatles, and others.

Think you know Pharrell? Did you know he had a hand in these songs below:
Green Light - Beyonce
Hit The Freeway - Toni Braxton featuring Loon
Run Away - Nivea featuring Pusha T
I Decided - Solange
Candy - Foxy Brown featuring Kelis
I Still Love You - 702
In Your Arms Tonight - TLC
Go - Mario
You Don't Have To Call - Usher
Goin' Out - Faith Evans featuring Pusha T
In The Morning - Mary J. Blige
