I have your guide to some of the upcoming music releases you should look forward to in the next few weeks, months, and beyond. Check it out!
June 11
Chrisette Michele - Better
Better is Chrisette Michele's Motown Records debut after jumping ship from Def Jam Records. It features the new single A Couple Of Forevers and the internet favorite Charades.
June 18
Kelly Rowland - Talk A Good Game
Kelly Rowland has had quite the number of push backs for Talk A Good Game but the album is finally ready to go next month. We got the singles Ice and Kisses Down Low which were both huge Urban and Pop hits for the singer. Now Kelly Rowland has everyone talking with her single Dirty Laundry which reveals her one-time feelings for Beyonce and her abusive relationship. If that's not enough check for collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Wiz Khalifa, and Lil' Wayne(Ice).
Kanye West - Yeezus
It was first reported that Kanye's new album was titled I Am God. That title alone would of caused much controversy. Kanye didn't stray to far away from his controversial methods by taking part of his nickname Yeezy and combining with Jesus to make "Yeezus". Brilliant huh? Kanye West knows how to keep everyone talking and he does just that with his new single New Slaves. Just last weekend Kanye unveiled yet another song via SNL titled Black Skinhead.
Most if not all the album was reportedly recorded in Paris. Kanye spent so much time in Paris it seemed his relationship with Kim Kardashain fizzled. Never fear the pair are very much together and expecting their bundle of joy this Summer.
J. Cole - Born Sinner
J. Cole has been teasing fans with the Born Sinner since late last year until he finally decided on a release date. Born Sinner features the hit single Power Trip featuring Miguel. If that ain't enough J. Cole pushed his album up a week to compete with Kanye West and to feed of some of his sales. Not a bad idea by no means!
Mac Miller - Watching Movies With The Sound Off
June 25
Wale - The Gifted
Wale had everyone singing the chorus to his catchy tune Bad featuring Tiara Thomas. Now the D.C. rapper is ready to release his new album and a new single titled Love Hate Thing.
India.Arie - SongVersations
John Legend - Love In The Future
The album contains the new single Who Do We Think We Are featuring Rick Ross.
July 9(or July 30)
Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines
The title track is currently #1 on iTunes and the new single 4 The Rest Of My Life just leaked out. Also be on the look out for the song Give It To Me featuring Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz. Eat ya heart out Justin Timberlake!
Ciara - Ciara
The self titled Epic Records debut from the Atlanta singer features the monster single Body Party. There are appearances from Nicki Minaj and Future.
Awhile back Ciara's self-titled album was titled One Woman Army. When the singer went back and rerecorded some of the album the theme changed as did the title.
July 16
Chris Brown - X
X is the new album from Chris Brown featuring the new single Fine China as well as They Don't Know featuring the late great Aaliyah. The star studded album is said to feature Nicki Minaj and tons of other artists that haven't been quite confirmed.
Chris Brown has been promoting this album pretty heavy. The promo began right at the top of the year with revealing interviews and a plethora of shocking headlines; something Chris Brown is no stranger to.
July 23
Fabolous - Loso's Way Part 2
The album features the single Ready featuring Chris Brown as well as appearances from Trey Songz and Wiz Khalifa.
July 30
K. Michelle - Rebellious Soul
This is K. Michelle's first album release on the Atlantic/Warner Bros. music label. Her new single was just released and she was recently trending on Twitter thanks in part to her appearance on 106 & Park.
Ashanti - BraveHeart
If there is one album that has seen its share of push backs its Ashanti's BraveHeart which is her first on her own label Written Ent. and eOne Records. Ashanti's current single Never Should Have is making a little noise and may finally be the single to shed light on the album.
I'll have you know that these are just some of the music releases to look forward to. There are possibly more releases to be added throughout the Summer and as always these dates are not subject to stick. They can change at a moment's notice. There may even have been a few albums that you know are being released but didn't see here. That simply means that I simply overlooked the album or had no idea about its impending release date.
