Throwback Video: Kelis - Milkshake

There was no escaping Kelis' "Milkshake" in late 2003 when it was released. The song would eventually live on finding placements in various movies and commercials. It was the first single from Kelis' gold album; "Tasty" which is one of all-time favorites.

A little tidbit; there is more than one version of the video. The first cut was re-shot in favor of a more tantalizing one I would imagine. I'm sure you can find the original one on YouTube somewhere.

I kept wondering what it was about this post, that made it so successful; one word: JANET! The fact that Janet has new music on the way makes this post even more of a hot topic.
