When Groups Replace Members

Everything is never as perfect as it seems. We've learned that over the years when it comes to not only music but even going as far as the stars on TV. While some good things eventually come to an end as we see in most groups; before that groups try to go the distance by replacing members. Whether it be a fall out; group dispute; or personal decision, some groups have stood the test of time for as long as they could.

Here are an example of some of the groups who became more well known for their line up changes than their music; hey it happens!

3LW
After a fight in a car involving chicken(oddly enough); Naturi Naughton was kicked out of 3LW and started her own successful solo career in music and movies. I can't remember the girl that replaced Naturi but 3LW trucked on with much success. The group eventually transformed into The Cheetah Girls based on the Disney show of the same name before eventually disbanding.

Destiny's Child
Perhaps one of the more well known documented group lineup change; Destiny's Child only got bigger once members; Latavia and LeToya were released. Michelle Williams made the group a trio from a quartet while LeToya ventured on her own successful career.

Dru Hill
I can't remember what member of Dru Hill quit the group but he was replaced and the group had a reality show that appeared on the Centric channel. Unfortunately I was unable to see the show and their album release was released pretty quiet to little or no fanfare whatsoever.

Boyz II Men
Nathan Stockman(I think that's his name) quit the group and Boyz II Men became a trio. The group still records frequently but they can't touch their 90s heyday.

En Vogue
Dawn Robinson left the group for a solo career then a stint in the trio; Lucy Pearl. En Vogue was performing as a quartet with new member Rhona Bennett before trimming down to a trio. Dawn Robinson came to her senses and rejoined the girls and they've been a quite a few successful tours.
