Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys had a somewhat squeaky clean image. She was accepted both by the younger generation as well as the older generation. She threw everyone for a loop when she started dating producer Swizz Beats. At the time Swizz was still married(or separated) to singer Mashonda. It made everyone look at Alicia Keys in a very different light and it wasn't a positive one. We didn't hear the end of the ordeal. Mashonda being the woman scorned wrote letters, took to twitter, and spoke to anyone who would listen over her agonizing pain and betrayal.
Alicia Keys' choice of behavior may of cost her some respect and sales from fans. Her latest album, "The Element Of Freedom" is her lowest selling album to date only selling over a million copies. It's still a success but Alicia usually sells like 3, 4 million an album so that's quite the drop off. Though we couldn't deny our love for the inescapable #1 hit for 12 weeks, "Un-Thinkable(I'm Ready)".
Fantasia
I remember awhile back when the story broke out about Fantasia dating a married man. It was somewhat of a big deal then but its an even bigger deal now. Fantasia is currently being sued by her married lover's wife.
Fantasia's new album, "Back To Me" will be in stores August 24. They say there is no such thing as bad publicity. Will Fantasia's album be a hit or a miss? What do you think?
I don't really care for the "Bittersweet" song but I do like Fantasia but I'm not really checking for her album.
Trina
After her breakup with Lil' Wayne, Trina began seeing NBA player Kenyon Martin. Once that became public knowledge, it was revealed that he was married. Of course we always hear that the marriage is on the outs. I mean why else would would a man parade around town with another woman if he were married? The on again and off again relationship is reportedly off again. Time will only tell if it will be back on. I guess we will know once we see pictures of the couple out and about.
