Album Spotlight: Amerie - Touch

Amerie went gold with her debut album; All I Have and just missed the mark with Touch. Touch was released in 2005 and features the hit single; 1 Thing. The title track was released as the second single and the video featured T.I.

Amerie continues her work with producer Rich Harrison as the duo explore a somewhat darker sound sans the 1 Thing. Songs like the haunting Come With Me play on the darker melodic sound found here.

Some of my favorite songs are Talkin' About, Rollin' Down My Face, Not The Only One, Come With Me, and Like It Used To Be. You will notice that the 98% of this album is uptempo save for the end where this a mid tempo song. The album is definitely worth checking out and it shows you why Amerie is an innovator and continues to be on the albums that followed this.
