Fantasia Returns With New Album!

2010 is shaping up to be an interesting year in music. New albums from Kelis, Monica, and Fantasia are in the works. Read below to find out more about Fantasia's upcoming album.

American Idol winner Fantasia has announced that she will release her new single in January, followed by her third album in March.

The single release is believed to be coinciding with Fanty’s new VH1 reality show, which will document her struggles as a single mother and recording artist.

I loved Fantastia’s sophomore album (Hood Boy is my anthem) so I’m pretty pumped for this. I hope she throws in a little gospel flavour!

Expect production from Raphael Saadiq, Midi Mafia, Missy Elliott, Rock City, Eric Hudson, and Rich King was was responsible for Brandy’s jam “1st & Love”.

Rihanna Gets Rolling Stone Review!
Rihanna has transformed her sound and made one of the best pop records of the year.

With Rihanna, singing has never been in doubt. The question has always been personality: Is there a flesh-and-blood woman lurking beneath the big voice and model looks? On Rated R, she answers the question emphatically. There are a couple of engaging uptempo tunes. (The StarGate-produced "Rude Boy" is smutty fun, with a Caribbean bounce.) But this is an album with a grim theme: love gone horribly wrong. "What you did to me was a crime," Rihanna sings in the slow-boiling "Cold Case Love." Elsewhere, she is bent on vengeance. "I lick the gun when I'm done," she cries in "G4L," "because I know that revenge is sweet." The songs are etched in somber shades and minor chords, with Rihanna belting over synths and booming beats. The results are a musical match for the black-on-black CD cover — goth R&B.
I read that Amazon.com is selling Rihanna's album for $3.99! Now that is the price albums should be!

Usher Pushes Back Album!
The release date for Usher's new album, "Raymond v. Raymond," is being moved, according to a spokesperson at Jive Label Group. Recently announced as being Dec. 21, a new release date is still being determined. According to the spokesperson, the date change is to give "Raymond v. Raymond" the proper set-up time that it deserves. "This is a solid album that we believe in. We want to give it a proper launch." The album's lead single, "Papers," holds the No. 2 post this week on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Usher's last album, 2008's "Here I Stand," has sold 1.2 million units, according to Nielsen SoundScan. His biggest-selling album to date is 2004's "Confessions," which stands at 9.7 million units.
