December 15

Now that the fourth quarter of music releases is under way, you can expect a major shake up in release dates. Everyone is trying to get a piece of the holiday sales that come along with Black Friday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and afterwards.

'Super Tuesday' is a phrase used to describe a huge number of releases for that given Tuesday specifically for albums. In the next month or two you will see plenty of 'Super Tuesday[s]' and December 15(which is on a Tuesday) is good enough to write about hence the post title.

Check out the the releases and some slight info below!

Alicia Keys, The Element Of Freedom
First single, "Doesn't Mean Anything" isn't exactly setting the charts on fire like a typical Alicia Keys release. There seems to be a bit of backlash from the whole Swizz Beats/Mashonda incident and "Doesn't Mean Anything" sounding too much like "No One". I don't care much for Alicia Keys but I do like a handful of her songs. How will her album fare in the long run? We will have to wait and see....and hear.

Mary J. Blige, Stronger
Way before its original November release date, Mary J. Blige rushed out single, "The One" featuring Drake. Obviously it was a move to capitalize off the buzz Drake has been experiencing. The song has done moderately well but not well enough. Now new single, "Said & Done" produced by Ryan Leslie is being pushed. A lot of songs from this album have leaked and a lot of them have been pretty forgettable. Suddenly I'm starting to have a bad feeling about this album.

R. Kelly, Untitled
R. Kelly's serial delayed album, "Untitled" actually has a hit single in the Keri Hilson-assisted, "Number One". I like "Number One" but I forgot about it pretty quickly. I'm hoping R. Kelly can deliver a solid album especially since Trey Songz is slowly trying to take his place.

Chris Brown, Graffiti
The backlash that Chris Brown experienced earlier is basically in the past. New single, "I Can Transform Ya" featuring Lil' Wayne & Swizz Beats is a hit! The new single, "Crawl" is being serviced to radio. Also Chris is featured on Ester Dean's "Drop It Low" single which is doing really well.

Lil' Wayne, Rebirth
Here we go again! This album has been pushed back so many times, it has basically joined the ranks of other serial delayed albums such as Dr. Dre's "Detox".

Young Money, TBA
I don't know why Young Money is dropping an album now. They should of dropped an album around the peak of "Every Girl" which was a monster hit! I was starting to think there would be no album from the group.

Birdman, Pricele$$
I don't know much about this album except it will feature "Always Strapped" and I believe there is another song that's out now that will be featured on this. Anyone know the name of it? Anybody even care?
