In the midst of working on material for his "Distant Relatives" project with Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, rapper Nas says he's already thinking about the follow up to his 2008 album "Untitled" (formerly known as 'Ni**er').Beyonce Sweats It Out!
While "Untitled" was rooted in the Don Imus-sparked controversy over the racial epithet at the time, his new material will come in the wake of divorce proceedings filed by his wife, Kelis.
"It's funny; drama is something that definitely kicks a fire underneath artists," Nas says. "But I try not to make that my focus. I'm trying to have peace and love.
The New York Daily News is quoting an "insider" who says Beyonce has told photographers not to shoot her from behind during her "I Am …Sasha Fierce" tour because of a perspiration problem. “Beyoncé’s costumes are so tiny and her choreography is so complicated that inevitably she sweats," said the unnamed source. "It looks pretty gross, so no one is allowed to shoot her from that particular angle anymore.”Jay-Z Tributes Michael Jackson!
Jay-Z took time out during his Connecticut concert Friday to mark the passing of Michael Jackson. "Let's not wait to mourn death, let's celebrate life," he urged the crowd at the Mohegan Sun casino resort in Uncasville. He said fans have given Michael Jackson a great outpouring of love since he died, which the King of Pop hadn't gotten to see in recent years. "I need y'all tonight. Let's celebrate life," Jay said. Jay added another MJ shout-out during "Give It To Me," saying: "Ladies love me long time like M.J.'s soul."Forbes List Highest Paid Rappers!
The Forbes magazine annual "Kings of Hip Hop Cash Kings" list is out and at the top is Jay-Z ($35m), who displaced last year's top guy, 50 Cent ($20m). Despite pulling in 57% less than last year, it was enough to beat out not only 50, but Diddy ($30m), Kanye West ($25m), Akon ($29m) and Lil Wayne ($18m) for the title. According to Forbes, both Fiddy's and Jay's earnings dropped steeply from last year's list because of the economy. Last year, combined, the top 20 Hip-Hop Cash Kings made $500 million; this year they made $300 million, a 40% drop.----------------
