The End Is Here

Hello all! It is very rarely that I personally address you all. I have made an important decision. It is a decision that I've contemplated off and on. I have decided to close this blog down.

I remember starting this blog based off my love for Toya's World, another R&B blog. It was then and there I knew that I wanted an avenue where I can share my musical thoughts and keep people informed.

I have a huge love for music and that has been my motivating force throughout the course of the last three years. A lot of the time I have felt like an underdog when it comes to other bloggers. I have felt like a lot of my creative ideas have been snatched from me and others have taken them and to much success. I understand as bloggers and affiliates of one another we are all influenced and take from each other. I just feel like my main motivation for running this site has been my love for music and not really for the so-called supporters. Whoever those supporters are I'm not really sure. I do know a few personally. I look at the number or hits this blog receives and I know the numbers don't lie. There is obvious an audience out there but their not embracing this blog the way I want them too.

Maybe that means I should change the format of the blog. That is something I've done many times again. With the music uploads and downloads, it is a risky move. Especially when labels are watching your blog and yadda yadda. That's why when I first started this blog I didn't want a blog just consisted of music downloads and that's it. I wanted to include my own personal articles I made and other ideas created by me. So when those other blogs get shut down or warned they have nothing to continue to go off on cause all they did was post up music.

Your support on this blog means a lot and as I said the numbers don't lie but a lot of that support I haven't felt personally. People don't comment or offer much interaction here and it makes me wonder why and if I'm not doing something right. At the end of the day some people will like the blog for what it is but people will flock to others cause there are so many and it is a bit overwhelming.

So this here is your chance to be heard(or read in this case). This is your chance to let me know if I should really continue this blog. A part of me does want to continue this blog then there is the part that does not. Your impact and your words mean a lot right now. So it is all on you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this blog and my personal friends I've made here as well as affiliates.

Hi Lamar,

I have been an active follower of your blog for the past month or so. I must say its great just to sit back and read the write ups even though I don't feel like 'contributing' so to speak. If you do something really for the love of it, you don't care how many hits you get or comments you receive, its the process and the results that you feel most proud of.

And I demonstrate this with my flickr account:

I hope you continue as I'll be a 'silent' fan.
