Music Feed: Six Degrees Of Jadakiss

I won't stop with the 'six degrees of' posts huh? Nope I won't. We all know Jadakiss. He is the Yonkers, New York born rapper known for his distinctive rap flow and voice. He is one third of the rap trio The Lox. He was formerly signed to Bad Boy and had a bitter falling out with the label and Diddy(just like every other artist). He has graced numerous albums, mix tapes, and singles over the years.

Now signed to Def Jam/Rocafella Records, Jadakiss recently unleashed his new album, "The Last Kiss" and it is led by the singles, "By Your Side" featuring Ne-Yo and "Can't Stop Me" which is one of my favorite songs right now.

I don't get into many rappers but Jadakiss is one rapper I really like. I like his flow and his style and the things he says among other things.

The Lox - Jadakiss got his start with The Lox and as a group they made two albums for Bad Boy before Jada finally went solo.

Ne-Yo - Ne-Yo guest starred on Jadakiss' first single, "By Your Side" off Jada's newest album, 'The Last Kiss'.

Swizz Beats - Swizzy has produced many of Jada's songs over the years and still plays a big part in Jada's career.

Ruff Ryders - Jadakiss among many other rappers were part of this East Coast click that were one of the most popular rap clicks in recent years.

Eve - Jadakiss along with Eve both played a huge part in the success of the Ruff Ryders click not to mention the number of duets the two have had along the years.

DMX - Though they are not as associated as they once were D's affiliation with Jada is through Ruff Ryders as well.

There you have it! Most of this is not new. It is information that most people probably know. Lately I have been just trying to mix it up as far as the 'six degrees of..' posts goes. Before I was mostly profiling just R&B artists but I branched out and started including rappers more since technically this is a R&B/Hip-Hop blog anyway.
