At one point it seemed like Maxwell wouldn't return to music after several delays for his forthcoming album, "Black Summer's Night" in stores July 7. Now the singer has resurfaced with a new outlook on life and his career. Check out the video for his new single, "Pretty Wings".

Music Biz:
Lil' Wayne Sued!
Rapper Lil Wayne is suing the producer of a song he performed that allegedly sampled another singer's work without permission. A lawsuit filed last year against Lil Wayne accuses him of copyright infringement, saying he failed to secure permission to sample folk singer Karma-Ann Swanepoel's song "Once" on his track "I Feel Like Dying." A lawsuit filed last week by the rapper's lawyers says Rebel Rock Productions Inc., of Coconut Creek, Fla., produced "I Feel Like Dying" and was responsible for obtaining any necessary licensing agreements.
Lil' Wayne is always being sued it seems like. I remember he got sued for the song, "Playing With Fire". I don't know sometimes it seems like if you have a successful album, especially one that a lot of people hear and is accepted by the masses, lawsuits start to fly left and right. Stories about samples used without permission run rampant. Musicians need to start being more cautious and original if you ask me.

Rick Ross Tops Charts!
Rick Ross easily debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with "Deeper Than Rap" (Slip-N-Slide/Def Jam), shifting 158,000 in its first week. It's the third topper for the artist. His last set, 2008's "Trilla," bowed at No. 1 with 198,000 while 2006's "Port of Miami" also did the same, but with 187,000.
Many probably assumed that Rick Ross was doomed after the revelation of his past, bouts with 50 Cent, etc. Well at the end of the day sometimes all that matters is the music and fans and people showed their support to Rick Ross.
