I love the Neptunes but they haven't been hitting it for me lately. I did like their work for Solange on "I Decided". I also like Common's "Universal Mind Control". Other than that I need some old vintage stuff circa 1999 when Kelis and Clipse first came out.

Usher Taps Pharrell For New Album!
R&B crooner Usher Raymond has teamed once again with super producer Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes for his upcoming 6th album on LaFace / Zomba Records. The pair previously collaborated on hit joints such as “You Don’t Have To Call” and “Sweet Lies” featuring Vanessa Marquez.
R&B can be very trendy. It's all about the hot producer of the moment. Luckily for most producers they can survive the turnover of trends and still manage to crank out hits every once in awhile.

D'Angelo Prepping New Album!
D'Angelo is currently putting the finishing touches on his eagerly anticipated new album at a studio in Hollywood, CA. The platinum selling R&B-soul singer-songwriter is scheduled to release his new studio album in spring 2009 through the RCA Music Group, a unit of Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. Untitled (How Does It Feel).
It's good that D'Angelo is finally releasing a new album after all these years. It's a shame he let his self go the way he did. But hey it does happen. You know what they say about this business, "sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll".
