Artist Spotlight: Syleena Johnson
Chicago native, Syleena Johnson burst onto the scene with her Angela Winbush inspired vocals and a honesty rarely heard in R&B today. Putting the "blues" back in R&B, Syleena detailed the trials and tribulations of failed relationships, abuse, and rejection. This severely underrated star was signed to the Jive Records label before landing on Federal/Universal Records. On Federal Records, Syleena released her newest album, "Chapter 4: Labor Pains". The album picks up where her predecessors left off(chapters 1 - 3). Throughout the years Syleena has worked with some of the biggest stars in the industry including R. Kelly, Fabolous, Kanye West, and more. So why is Syleena not a bigger star? Blame her former label Jive Records for under promoting this star. With a new label and new outlook on life, Syleena Johnson proves time and time again that you can keep on trucking! Below you can check out some of my favorite songs from this sultry songstress!Audio: Another Relationship

Syleena's new album, "Chapter 4: Labor Pains" will be in stores January 13 according to Amazon.

I kept hearing about it and I see why. The album is HOT. But I think I'm gonna buy a hard copy too. I like liner notes.
And it's nice that Syleena Johnson did this on her own.
