Rappers Keep Getting Arrested
What is it with rappers getting arrested all the time? I'm really tired of reading and hearing about rappers getting arrested. What led me to this discussion was Kanye West being arrested in again. It is the second time he got arrested in the last few months. I don't like seeing our top rappers getting arrested then its glorified as a good thing. It sends a bad message out to aspiring rappers and fans(particularly young children) that its ok to get in trouble with the law. I know no one is perfect and people slip up every now and then but this is getting ridiculous.
Sometimes I feel like its purposely done to prove something. It's like trying to prove that everything that say in their lyrics are true(when half the time its just lies and excessive bragging).
2009 will be here before you know it. While the first few months are primarily slow for music,2009 may just bring about change. New albums from 50 Cent, Usher, Ciara, Jay-Z, Monica, and Trina are all set to drop in the 1st quarter of 2009. Now that is major! Our first big releases usually don't occur until at least March or April. Of course these release dates are subject to change but it would be nice. I always welcome new music. Me being the person I am I tend to get tired of music very quickly. Then again I can also play some ish out.

50 Cent Pushed Back!

50 Cent Pushed Back!
NEW YORK, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- 50 Cent knows hard times. So in these difficult economic days, the artist who debuted with Get Rich Or Die Tryin' is giving something back to his fans by adding a free DVD of a full-length original movie to his fourth major label album, Before I Self Destruct (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope), releasing early 2009. The album move comes as 50 Cent was rushing to get his album finished for a December release, however it is not complete. With the deadline to secure advertising and retail placement for the album imminent, he decided to move to a date in early 2009.Jay-Z On The Blueprint 3!
Jay-Z has all but confirmed that The Blueprint 3 is not coming out in 2008. When Hov premiered his new record, "History," on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 New York radio show last week, Martinez playfully reminded him that he was supposed to be coming out with an album this year. Jigga countered that he'd never told anyone that the album would be dropping this year and didn't know where the speculation came from.
