A Look Back - October 2008

Hello all! I am writing to you all whether late but I'm wide awake. I have become somewhat addicted to these energy drinks. I have my supervisor to thank for that. Anyway as always I start off each month with "A Look Back" listing the music news and headlines of the previous month; October. I didn't get a chance to really list in depth the number of listings I would normally post. I would also like to say this is my last time posting "A Look Back" for now. It is simply too much for me to keep up everything especially since I'm extra busy these days.

Marriage/Splittsville/Divorce:
Madonna, Guy Ritchie divorce after 71/2 years.

Pregnancy/Birth:
American Idol's Paris Bennett gives birth to baby girl.
Lil' Wayne becomes a father from Cincinnati woman.

Hospitalized/Sick/Death/Accident:
Natalie Cole released from the hospital.
Janet Jackson cancels more tour dates due to mystery illness; reveals vertigo condition.
Jennifer Hudson's family killed; mother, nephew, and brother.

Feud/Fights:
Maino smacks Yung Berg!
T.I. vs. Jim Jones; Jones mad about not appearing on the "Swagger Like Us" record.
Aretha Franklin vs. Tina Turner
Ne-Yo vs Yung Berg
Aretha Franklin vs. Beyonce

Lawsuits/Arrests:
Lil' Kim sued over record deal.
Lyfe arrested for eluding police.
Don Cornelius arrested for felony assault.
Terrance Howard sued for assault.
Lil' Boosie arrested for resisting arrest, gun and drug possession.
El DeBarge arrested for possession of controlled substance.

I kept wondering what it was about this post, that made it so successful; one word: JANET! The fact that Janet has new music on the way makes this post even more of a hot topic.
