Janet Jackson's Superbowl Case Returns!

It’s been almost five years since Janet Jackson flashed her nipple during the Super Bowl halftime show broadcast, but the controversy still rages on! The Federal Communications Commission has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a lower court ruling that threw out the FCC’s half-million dollar fine against CBS. The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in July that the FCC’s huge fine violated the Commission’s policy of not punishing broadcasters for “fleeting” moments of objectionable content. But the FCC says the Circuit Court misinterpreted an old FCC rule about profanity (the rule said that an expletive had to be repeated before it would be considered “indecent.” The FCC has since changed that rule.)

Patti LaBelle Cooks Up A Storm!

Patti LaBelle has released her third cookbook, Recipes for the Good Life. It’s got instructions for over 100 dishes and personal stories from throughout Patti’s life, from childhood through today. In addition to the cookbook, Patti has released a how-to DVD called In the Kitchen with Miss Patti which was shot in LaBelle’s own kitchen and dining room.

MC Breed Dies!

Rapper MC Breed -- who once worked with Tupac -- was found dead at a friend's house in Michigan yesterday. Breed -- who was hospitalized in September when his kidneys collapsed -- died from kidney failure. He was 36.

Angie Stone's New Book!

Soul singer Angie Stone is set to reveal all about the early days of pal Beyonce Knowles' secret romance with husband Jay-Z in a book. Stone, who has been a major part of R&B and hip-hop for the past 30 years, recalls the special moments with Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey, among others in her book. But she understands that it will be the details about Beyonce and Jay-Z's affair that will make fans want to read the book Life In The Shadow Of A Sex Symbol. "I was right there in the beginning when Beyonce started dating Jay-Z, and I was a friend and confidante to her during those times," said Stone.
