Love can conquer anything right? To properly answer the question you would have to had experienced being in love with someone. These noted couples mentioned below are the subject of
today's music feed. These famous couples are not only partners in life but in business. You know
what they say "never mix business with pleasure" but who listens to sayings nowadays.
Mariah Carey & Tommy Mottola
He spearheaded her into the diva she is today. He was still controlling her career even after they
divorced. Her marriage to Mottola may have been over years ago but you could never tell. Mariah still makes mention of her tumultuous relationship with the music mogul. Meanwhile Mariah has moved on and married again to actor/comedian Nick Cannon.
Faith Evans & Todd Russaw
These two have been making lovely music(and babies) for a number of years. Evans' husband
Todd Russaw has been managing Faith's career for a number of years. He is responsible for her hit albums and her leaving Bad Boy Records. These two have quietly settled into married life. Faith recently released a memoir detailing her life in the industry.
Mary J Blige & Kendu Issacs
Kendu Issacs has had a huge role in Mary's life. He is one of the many people behind Mary's 2005 "The Breakthrough" album which put Mary back on top. He is also instrumental in getting Mary clean off alcohol and drugs. He is the reason why Mary is much more sane and not the angry and troubled woman she portrayed on her pre-"The Breakthrough" albums. Mary is currently working on a new album due very soon.
Janet Jackson & Jermaine Dupri
A lot of people blame Dupri for Janet's diminishing music career. Despite the negativity Dupri and Jackson garner, they have stood strong for over 7 years. Dupri is responsible for Jackson tapping back into her R&B roots most recently with #1 R&B single, "Call On Me". He was also responsible for her leaving Virgin Records for Island Def Jam. Unfortunately Janet left Island Def Jam after one record. She is now touring on her "Rock With U" tour which has become one of the most talked about tours in years.
Toni Braxton & Keri Lewis
Former Mint Condition member Keri Lewis has been responsible for Toni's last few albums. Her later albums may not hold a candle to her earlier work but Braxton has not lost her touch. Her "Toni Braxton: Revealed" tenure in Las Vegas came to an abrupt end due to her health scares. She rebounded back with her appearance on "Dancing With The Stars". The star recently signed to Atlantic Records and will be releasing a new album next year.
Did I forget anybody? I'm sure I did but these are the people who immediately came to mind when I brainstormed. I hope you enjoyed this music feed. There are more on the way. Let me also take the time to thank all the supporters of CSV!
