People That Had Us Talking - June 2008
It's that time again. I take a look back at all the people who had us talking all month long[for the month of June that is]. Check it out!
Ciara - Ciara's first single, "High Price" featuring Ludacris was set to leak[in full]but didn't. Instead it was announced that her single and album were pushed back indefinitely[to October]. There were also rumors going around that Ciara and 50 Cent were engaged or either married. Who could forget Ciara's sexy dance with Chris Brown at the BET Awards?
50 Cent - When 50 Cent graces my monthly list [for "People That Had Us Talking"] it is no longer a surprise. 50 was accused of burning his own house down. He also had a huge falling out with Young Buck. How could we forget the marriage rumors to Ciara? I can only imagine what this month has in store for 50 especially with the new G-Unit album dropping.
Young Buck - Buck's fallout with 50 Cent got real nasty. A lot of dirty laundry was aired between Buck and 50 Cent. There was the taped convo, the diss records, and his teaming up with former arch rival Game in an attempt to dethrone 50.
Amy Winehouse - Like 50 Cent, Amy Winehouse stays in the headlines. Winehouse was hospitalized for a fainting spell. Criticized and humiliated over a racial slur which she later apologized for. And more recently a horrible concert performance punching a fan and calling Kanye West a "cunt".
Lil' Wayne - Selling 1 million copies in his first week with "The Carter 3". Enough said.
