Monica is working diligently on new album, "Lessons Learned" due this fall. The album's first single is "Still Standing" featuring Ludacris. Monica has made headlines recently with her upcoming show, "The Single: Monica" airing August 5 on Peachtree TV. The show revolves around Monica as she balances motherhood and her singing career. Recently Monica has denied any beef with Beyonce after statements she made regarding her upcoming nuptials. I am amazed at how hard Monica is working on this album. I really do hope she delivers the best album she is capable of. I am rooting for her! Go Mo!
Q-Tip will release his long awaited album, "The Renaissance" on October 14. The album is preceded by first single, "Getting Up". The album houses collaborations from Norah Jones, D'Angelo, and Raphael Saadiq. Next month you can hear Q-Tip on Solange's "Sandcastle Disco" from her upcoming album, "Sol-Angel & The Street Hadley Dreams" in stores August 26.
R. Kelly's new album, "12 Play 4th Quarter" which is due this fall leaked out earlier this week. The 13 song set finds Kelly conjuring up his sexual frustration over pulsating and midtempo grooves. Kelly will shoot the video for new single, "Skin" this weekend.
