Singer Michelle Williams will appear on the soundtrack to the upcoming film "Sex & The City" starring Sarah Jessica Paker. The track is titled, "Til The End Of The World". The track is similar in vein to Michelle's first single, "We Break The Dawn" off her upcoming "Unexpected" album in stores this August. There is no word whether or not Michelle's contribution to the soundtrack is the lead single. Wow! It seems like they are really going all out for Michelle. Could this an attempt to make people forget the poor job they did promoting Kelly Rowland's, "Ms. Kelly" album?
Superstar Mariah Carey has just scored her 18th #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Touch My Body". It is the first single lifted from her upcoming album, "E=MC2" due in stores April 15. Production and guests include Will.I.Am, Jermaine Dupri, Young Jeezy, Scott Storch, Danja, Dream, Tricky Stewart, and more. The second single is the ballad, "Bye Bye" produced by Stargate. Mariah's album will be leaking very soon! You all ready for the new Mariah album?
Singer Monica has denied rumors that she had to sell her mansion! Meanwhile Monica confirmed exclusively that her new album is titled, "Lessons Learned". The album will feature production by Polow Da Don, Babyface, Missy Elliott, Bryan Michael Cox, and Jermaine Dupri. The first single is set to debut in July while the album will be released in August.
Singer Ashanti's oft-delayed album, "The Declaration" will be in stores June 10. The first single, "The Way That I Love You" is performing tremendously on radio. For the new album Ashanti hooked up with producers LT Hutton (who produced the first single), The Neptunes, Robin Thicke, Babyface, and more. I'm really looking forward to hearing the new album. It's been a long time coming.
It looks like the success of Usher's single, "Love In This Club" has prompted label Jive Records to push up Usher's release date by a few weeks. Originally scheduled for a June 10 release, Usher's new album, "Here I Stand" will now be released on May 27. Meanwhile the video for "Love In This Club" will debut April 7 on MTV. Can Usher top "Confessions"?
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is reportedly working on the follow up to her 2x platinum, "Back To Black" album which yielded the hit single, "Rehab". Winehouse is reuniting with producer Mark Ronson who was responsible for the bulk of material on "Black". On the new album apparently the one is "darker" and more "sinister". Yikes!
Singer Ray J will release the Rodney Jerkins produced cut "Jump Off" as the second single from his upcoming album, "All I Feel" in stores April 8. The album contains the monster hit, "Sexy Can I" featuring Yung Berg. "Sexy Can I" is Ray J's biggest hit to date! A little birdie also told me that Ray J's album just leaked! Think it'll be hot?
Singer Beyonce and beau Jay-Z have reportedly taken out a marriage license according to People magazine. This is like the 4958th rumor we heard regarding Bee and Jay's impending marriage. Where is Mathew Knowles? Usually he is always quick to shut down or address a rumor regarding Bee. Hmmm?
