Troubled rapstress Remy Ma finally got her day in court stemming for last summer's incident involving the shooting of former friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph. The shooting stems from Remy discovering that $2,000 was missing from her purse when she asscused Joseph of the crime. In court some details were made public that were withheld before. Remy's lawyer Ivan Fisher states that the two ladies struggled over a gun which resulted in Joseph being wounded. Joseph's laywer struck back and claimed Remy was upset, shot Joseph twice in the abdomen and reportedly left the scene and hopped in a Cadillac Escalade before eventually crashing it and hiding out at a friend's house.

Singer Mariah Carey recently shot a special to air on BET on April 16 promoting her upcoming album, "E=MC2". The singer will perform new and old cuts alike such as "Migrate" featuring T-Pain, "Touch My Body" and "We Belong Together". "E=MC2" hits stores April 15.

Rapper Ice Cube is returning with a new album entitled, "Raw Footage". It is his ninth album overall and it is the follow up to his gold "Laugh Now Cry Later" album. Among the guests on "Raw Footage" are Musiq, Nas, and Scarface.

  • Hit producer Polow Da Don was the victim of an attempted robbery but no one was hurt.
  • Soul diva Jill Scott will star in new HBO show, "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency".
  • Dirty South rapper Juvenile skipped out on his child's funeral!
  • Beyonce's new untitled album will be released this November!
