Mario's Album, Mary's Pain, Cassie's Back

Daily Roundup: Mario is finally releasing his long awaited, oft-delayed third album, "Go" on Dec 11th! Thank goodness! For a second there I didn't think this album would see the light of day. While none of the singles thus far have caught on, this album is definitely worth checking out. If you haven't heard the album already, I'm sure you can download it somewhere. Better yet you can always go out and buy it! If your not quite sold just yet just head to Mario's MySpace Page and listen to the tracks on "Go".

I listened to about 45% of the new Mary J. Blige "Growing Pains" album, and it is a pretty decent affair. A lot of the songs don't stand out, and a lot of them don't offer much variation. Sometimes I can get an album and not really sit and listen to it right away. Once I do get a good listen, my verdict will possibly change but its not always warranted. I like Mary J. Blige but I feel like this new album came so soon even though Mary releases new albums every 2 years. Since "The Breakthrough" was released at the tail end of Dec 2005, it dominated 2006 and beyond making it seem like it was just released not long ago (which it really wasn't). It hasn't even been a full two years though but Mary will be "Just Fine" at the end of the day.

News Tidbits: Bad Boy's Cassie is returning to the music world with a new untitled second album set to hit sometime in 2008. Among the producers involved will be Ryan Leslie, Brian Michael Cox, and Diddy. The first single is entitled, "Is It You".

Bow Wow was rushed to the hospital following a performance. Apparently the pint sized rapper's hospital visit was due to a combonation of stress and exhaustion. He was also forced to miss his Chicago performance.

The Dream's "Love/Hate" album has leaked but you won't find it here. His latest single, "Falsetto" has been released and it sucks in my opinion. Rihanna guest stars on the album. Dream recently co-produced Mary J. Blige's latest single, "Just Fine" and also wrote and produced a couple of songs on Mary's latest album.
