It's A Lil' Thing

Lil' Things Mean A Lot
Being "big" went out the window years ago. It is cool to be "Lil". Lil' Kim. Lil' Scrappy. Lil' Jon. They are all artists who have the moniker "Lil" in their stage names. These artists have all been very successful in their own right. If you notice every artist featured records for Hip-hop/R&B genres. It is an urban thing. These are urban artists. Each artist is compiled by their popularity among consumers and
music lovers. Find out why it can take only a "lil" to make it.

Lil' Kim - She is one of the most successful female rappers of all-time. Kim, got her start rhyming alongside the late great Notorious B.I.G. He helped mold her into the platinum star she is today. He had the "Magic Stick".

Lil' Jon - Perhaps he is one of the most popular producers of the new millienium with a catchphrase that became a national phenomenon. Okkaaay! He's worked his magic on songs by Amerie, Ciara, and Usher. It was Dave Chappelle's famous imitation that made Jon even bigger than he already was.

Lil' Bow Wow - He dropped the "Lil" from his name but in our eyes he will always be "Lil' Bow Wow". He has moved on to an upcoming duet album with Omarion titled, "Face Off".

Lil' Mo - She is the pint sized singer who's has worked with everyone from Ja Rule to 3LW. We always want a "Lil' Mo" of what this woman has to offer. For starters, you can check out her new album, "Pain & Paper". In stores now.

Lil' Flip - He had the down south on lock until T.I. came and took the crown. While none of his songs are that memorable, Flip is responsible for the down south movement. Flip was recently cleared of credit card fraud.

Lil' Scrappy - He was introduced by another "Lil" (Jon) one and went on to have a few urban hits along the way. His latest single, "Living In The Projects" samples 2Pac.

Lil' Zane - He would later drop the "Lil" moniker off his name as well as a sign of reaching adulthood. His big break came via a guest spot on 112's, "Anytime" and a few feature film roles (Dr. Doolittle) followed. There were rumors he was gay by rapper Cashun (a gay rapper). I don't know where Zane is now.
