Trina To Be Pushed Back?
Trina is supposed to be release her new album, "The Baddest Chick 2" next month! I don't see it happening though. All female rappers get their albums pushed back at least once. In some cases numerous times(hello Foxy Brown). Trina's lead single, "I'm Single Again" featuring Christina Milian hasn't been released yet. It should of been released last month in order to have a Sept release date for the album. I have read people say they've heard it but the song has not leaked. I haven't seen Trina mention anything about it on her MySpace page either. I'm just waiting for the pushback. I'm sure the pushback will be a few weeks to sometime in October. We shall see.




Foxy Always Caught In A "Def Jam"
Foxy Brown has reportedly left Def Jam Records after 13 years! Should I be happy or sad? She has signed an exclusive deal with Koch Records(Prodigy, Jim Jones) to launch her independent label, Black Roses(former album title) Entertainment. She will also release her long awaited album now titled, "Brooklyn Don Diva". It sounds like Foxy is really trying to make a statement with that title. I hope she does. The album is due this December and the first single will launch in a few weeks.

Whenever Foxy gets herself in any type of trouble, it's a big news story always. When you don't hear anything about her, you assume she is staying out of trouble. It looks like every few days Foxy is involved in some type of incident or lawsuit. The latest incident comes courtesy of Foxy's own next door neighbor(which I'll assume is a woman). The neighbor claims to have been smacked with a Blackberry during an argument. The victim suffered a bruised eye, lip, and missing teeth. Foxy reportedly turned herself in and was released on $5K bail. The incident was said to have occurred last month. Foxy is due in court on Sept 26th. Not again? No!

Now Foxy, I'm really anticipating her album, I really hope she delivers. Say what you want about her personal life but "Broken Silence" was an excellent, consistent album despite the public criticism surrounding her at the time. Let's hope it gets released, this Def Jam/Koch records thing sounds threatening to her ever getting this album released...
