Foxy's Latest "Hit" Might Not "Drop"
Foxy's Latest "Hit"
Foxy Brown has officially joined Koch Records. She will release her street album, "Brooklyn Don Diva" on Dec 4th. "Black Roses", the long awaited forthcoming album will arrive early next year. Foxy also brings her label, Black Rose(s) Entertainment to Koch. In a time where Fox should be celebrating her new deal, she is now dealing with her latest melodrama. Last month, Foxy had an altercation with a neighbor which resulted in her smacking the victim with her Blackberry. The victim, Arlene Raymond suffered a bruised eye, busted lip, and loose teeth. She must got hit really hard then. A blackberry isn't that big of a device. Reports say that Foxy and Raymond have a history that boiled down to this altercation. Raymond claims Foxy showed up at her job putting her down. Raymond and neighbors claim Foxy blasts music all the time. People do that in the hood. What's new? I believe Foxy was provoked. She would not just hit someone with a blackberry. But there are two sides to a story and we haven't heard Foxy's yet. Her manager is proclaiming her innocence by stating the charges are false. Foxy's mother, Judith Marchand has even spoken out, a first for her. I guess she is tired of people trying to get off on Foxy. Foxy is due in court on Sept 26th. This is not a good look though since Foxy is still on probation. She will probably get off though. I'm hoping. Foxy just needs to learn how to handle herself better. What were those anger management classes for?
I always read these stories about Foxy getting in some type of altercation in the "hood" all the time. Foxy definitely spends a lot of time in the hood. I assume her mother still lives there as does her. I remember her having a house in New Jersey. I'm not sure if that is her primary residence or not. I feel like if you got enough money, move out the hood. But Foxy is hood. She hangs out and walks through the hood like she is a regular person. You are a celebrity. You are not Britney Spears but you are pretty well known. I wish she would make better decisions concerning her "hood" lifestyle.
Kanye's Change Of Plans
Kanye West has gone back on his word. His forthcoming album, "Graduation" was said to not feature any rappers but now that has changed. Lil' Wayne will guest star on "Barry Bonds", a track that has already hit the net. It is only right to include Wayne(like everybody else) since he is the hottest rapper in the game. The hottest rapper in the game doesn't always translate into hits either(look: Mya - " Lock U Down" and Ja Rule - "Uh Oh"). It is serious Lil' Wayne overkill in my opinion. He has the mixtape game on lock. He will also be releasing his long awaited, "The Carter 3" album in December so look out for that. Back to Kanye, he feels Amy Winehouse should go to rehab and hired the director he interrupted during last years VMA's when he lost for "Touch The Sky". Kanye's next single will feature T-Pain entitled, "Good Life" which samples Michael Jackson's "PYT". Kanye always goes "west" indeed.
Brooke Not About To "Drop"
Brooke Valentine has not been dropped from Virgin according to the singer herself. It has been a long running rumor that the singer had been dropped after her first single, "D Girl" failed at radio. Brooke claims the album has not been turned into Virgin executives due to fear of the label dropping the ball like they did Janet. Well Brooke better pull another "Girlfight" out her ass then!
Mary J: Your Child
Mary J Blige is reportedly pregnant with her first child. The rumor has been flooding quite a few message boards and radio programs. I will wait until we get a confirmation from Mary herself, the label, or her team.
Trina's New Single
A day or two ago I was inquiring about Trina's new single, "I'm Single Again". Well Trina finally mentioned it on her MySpace that the single is scheduled to drop later this month.
