R&Beef profiles the details of various highly publicized, infamous, and rumored beefs among R&B's most elite. Some of these beefs may be familiar to you, some may not. Here is the list and details of R&Beefs in no particular order:

• Brandy vs. Monica - The Boy Is Mine! Whose? Yours? No, he's mine!
• Mariah Carey vs. Jennifer Lopez - Mariah's ex, Tommy Mottola had an axe to grind. He reportedly had several producers give tracks (intended for Carey) to Lopez. Lopez started her singing career immediately drawing comparisons to Carey. Soon fans and critics started pitting the two stars against each other.
  
• Mariah Carey vs. Whitney Houston - Mariah was branded a Whitney knockoff at the beginning of her career. Why? Because both divas had worked with the same producers. Both divas insist a beef was never relevant. Both divas proved there was no beef by collaborating in 1998.
  
• Ashanti vs. Tweet - Like Beyonce, Ashanti was also in a battle with Tweet. Ashanti and Tweet released albums on the same day. Ashanti's album went to #1. Tweet accused Def Jam of buying Ashanti's albums. Whether or not they did remains unknown.
  
• Mary J. Blige vs. Faith Evans - Mary insisted that Diddy was making Faith a Mary clone. Mary was even jealous at a point due to Diddy's involvement with Faith. Mary insisted Faith remove her vocals from a duet they did on Faith's debut. Nowadays both women have acknowledged their love for each other despite fans constantly pitting the two against each other.
  
• Usher vs. Justin Timberlake - High-profile relationships. Heavily influenced by Prince and Michael Jackson. Cutting-edge choreography. For more info Click Here
• Keyshia Cole vs. Fantasia - Kanye West invited both women to be apart of his "Late Registration" tour. Both women's careers were just taking off. Rumors circulated that the two were beefing backstage. Both had denied the allegations.
  
• Jaguar Wright vs. Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, Ashanti, and Ciara - Jag is best known as the outspoken soul singer featured on Jay-Z's MTV Unplugged special. Jag accused Mary of not liking her because she was asked to be apart of Jay's Unplugged special. Jag insists she has never done anything to belittle Blige. She only gave love to Faith while slamming Ciara and Ashanti. She accused the latter two of being gyrating non-singing talent that couldn't hold a candle to her or India Arie.
  
• Diana Ross vs. Patti Labelle - This is a beef that had been looming long before any of us were born. It all started with Cindy Birdsong leaving Patti (The Blubelles) for Diana (The Supremes). Patti insists Diana (and The Supremes) copied The Blubelles style. Patti called Diana a tramp on her BET special. There was also the infamous mic toss where Patti stole the show from Diana.
