Chris Brown Reveals New Single Cover

The new single is from his album, "F.A.M.E.+ Fortune" which will be in stores this March. If you were curious the acronym for FAME is Forgiving All My Enemies. Chris has already had several hits from his upcoming album and "Look At Me Now" just debuted on the R&B charts last week.

Usher Plans New Album

Usher is currently here in the UK for his hugely successful ‘OMG’ tour. This week, the R&B superstar rehashed in a new British interview what he said previously about embarking on a self-styled “revolutionary pop” album. The LP, which he says could be out by “early next year”, is set to get a big, fat European makeover.
Usher confirms he has recorded a “cool song” with dance-pop producer David Guetta, and has also enlisted Scando dance gods Swedish House Mafia for the upcoming project. He is also in talks to work with British 22-year-old rapper Tinie Tempah. Kelly Rowland, the first black/R&B star to work with Guetta previously stated that she was the one who encouraged Usher to do dance music.

Bobby Brown To Release New Album

R&B Icon Bobby Brown’s performance of his new single, “Get Out The Way”, will air for the first time on Centric TV’s “Way Black When” on February 9th. The single is from his forthcoming CD, on B Brown Productions/Bronx Bridge Entertainment, Inc., which will be released Spring 2011 through Fontana Distribution.

Bobby Brown, who is one of the biggest R&B stars in the business, came on the scene in the late 80’s with his schoolmates, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe and Ricky Bell, to form New Edition. He left the group and released his debut solo album “King of Stage” in 1987 that produced the hit “Girlfriend”. His follow-up album “Don’t Be Cruel”, sold over 7 million copies and had 5 top ten hits as well as garnered him a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance, Male in 1989, and contributed to Ja Rule’s single, “Thug Lovin” in 2002 which won Brown a Source Award for R&B/Rap Collaboration of the Year for 2003.

Brown is ready to return to take his rightful place among today’s R&B artists with his CD. Brown is also working on a reality television show in which he will appear with his fiancée Alicia Etheredge. This will follow-up on his appearances in “Gone Country,”“Celebrity Fit Club” and “Being Bobby Brown”.

“I look forward to putting out the new CD” said Brown “and the performance that airs next month is to show everyone that B. Brown is back. In fact, I never left.”

UrbanBridgez.com has learned that Chris Brown will release his highly anticipated new release ‘F.A.M.E. (Jive)‘ on March 22nd! The set will be released in a regular set as well as a deluxe edition which will be two-discs. The album will feature Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Busta Rhymes, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and more! F.A.M.E. is already off to a great start on the Billboard charts with the singles ‘Yeah 3X,’ and ‘Look At Me Now‘ featuring Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes. ‘Beautiful People‘ will be the next single released from the album produced by Benny Benassi. Chris will start the Australian leg of his new tour in April!

In other Chris Brown news Singersroom.com reports Jive executive Tom Carrabba says Chris has found himself. “I think when he was a little bit younger he was still trying to find his way a little bit and fine-tune his craft, but I think over the last two years he’s absolutely developed a confidence and is very secure in his decision-making process,” Carrabba tells the Associated Press about Brown, who has been signed to the label since he was 16.

Over the past year, Brown has released three mixtapes, including ‘Fan of a Fan,’ a collaboration with rapper Tyga. The set featured the hit ‘Deuces, a mid-tempo cut that hit No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart for nine weeks and peaked at No. 14 on the Hot 100 chart. ‘Deuces‘ is up for best rap/sung collaboration at the upcoming Grammys, competing against Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind,’ Eminem’s Love the Way You Lie’ and B.o.B’s ‘Nothin’ on You.

Carrabba says the Grammy nominations are “another step in the right direction for Chris Brown,” later adding, “Some people might have forgot, but then once you see him perform, you understand the gift that he has.”

Rihanna's Loud Album Certified Platinum

Rihanna has a lot to celebrate with hit singles and a new platinum album. Read more below about the success of her newest album, "Loud" as well as stories on R. Kelly's next album and Keyshia Cole firing her manager!

She may have had a slow start but her consistency has had her back all the way. Pop/R&B superstar Rihanna’s fifth studio album ‘Loud’ has shipped over a million copies in the U.S. and will probably snag a platinum certification in the coming weeks.

Happy about the album’s success, Rihanna tweeted “Thank you #RihannaNavy for being so sexy and makin #LOUD platinum in the U.S.”

‘Loud,’ which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart with a little over 200K units sold, has moved upwards of 830,000 copies in the U.S. The music video for the third single, ‘S&M,’ which will premiere soon, will definitely add a boast to her sales.

“Never have I ever stressed out on the first week,” Rihanna tells New York radio host Angie Martinez late last year. “Ever since ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’, the first week was like 160[,000], and it grew to sell nine million albums. The first week never determines what the success of the album will be.”

Keyshia Cole Fires Former Manager

In the wake of disappointing first-week sales for her latest album, "Calling All Hearts," singer and former reality show star Keyshia Cole announced she has fired her longtime manager, Manny Halley.

On the afternoon of Jan. 17, Cole, 29, wrote on Twitter: "Would like for u guys to know that Manny Halley is no longer my management." Half a day later, she followed up: "Someone said if the people around u won't change, change the people around you."

Cole's latest album, released Dec. 21 on Geffen/Interscope, debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 and subsequently slips 23-26 this week. Entering at No. 5 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, "Hearts" moves 9-8 on the chart. Her two previous albums, 2007's "Just Like You" (which received a Grammy Award nod for best contemporary R&B album) and 2008's "A Different Me," both debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

In the four weeks since its release, "Calling All Hearts" has sold 194,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. By comparison, "A Different Me" sold 539,000 during its first four weeks.

R. Kelly Plans New Album

R. Kelly took a more soulful approach on his latest album Love Letter, but Kellz is ready make you “Bump N’ Grind” again with his next project. The Pied Piper of R&B is readying another sequel to his classic 12 Play.

Kellz’ 11th studio album was originally called Zodiac, but he has scrapped the title in favor of one that pays homage to his 1993 debut. “I’ve changed the name to The Return of 12 Play: Night of the Living Dead,” he tells Interview magazine. “I think it’ll be an R&B-like thriller album, if you will.”

He had been recording the LP prior to releasing Love Letter. “I was working on the Zodiac album, which was all, like, the bump ‘n’ grinds—I couldn’t work on it because I was so overwhelmed and overpowered and pretty much musically abducted by [the Sam Cooke days],” he explains. “So I switched and started working on Love Letter, and the next thing you know, ‘When a Woman Loves’ came out and I was like, ‘What?’ I was like, ‘Wow!’”

Love Letter debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 upon its release in December, selling 154,000 copies in its first week.

Toni Braxton's House Up For Foreclosure

The holder of mortgage debt on Grammy-winning singer Toni Braxton’s home won bankruptcy court approval to launch foreclosure proceedings against the Georgia property.

Court papers show that Judge Barry Russell of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles on Friday lifted the shield protecting Braxton, who filed for Chapter 7 liquidation in September, from the reach of US Bank.

As Bankruptcy Beat previously reported, the bank - which represents the holder of Braxton’s mortgage debt - had argued for the right to launch foreclosure proceedings on the grounds that Braxton doesn’t have any equity in the Duluth, Ga., property nor is the mortgage holder’s interest in the property adequately protected. (Braxton herself doesn’t own the property; a trust does.) As of Nov. 23, US Bank said Braxton owes the full $1.5 million on her mortgage, while the property itself been appraised at $1.2 million.

Braxton took out the mortgage from Wells Fargo Bank in 2004, and the lender later transferred its interest in the debt to a trust set up to administer a pool of mortgages for investors in those securities.

Braxton had earlier told the bankruptcy court of her intention to remain in her single-family residence, part of the Sugarloaf Country Club community. But David Gill, the bankruptcy trustee appointed to liquidate Braxton’s assets, said last month that he would abandon the property. In court papers, Gill acknowledged the lack of “realizable equity” for the singer’s creditors and its “inconsequential value and benefit” to Braxton’s estate.

Meanwhile, the singer behind such hits as “Un-Break My Heart” and “You’re Makin’ Me High” is gearing up for the premiere this spring of a new reality show. Braxton and her four sisters, all aspiring singers, will appear in “Braxton Family Values” on the WE Network this April, as the Associated Press reported earlier this month.

I'm guessing at this point Jive is trying to do whatever they can to pick up this album off the ground; well probably.

Some of the former members of The Lox will release new albums this year including Styles P. Via his twitter account; the rapper announced his new album, "Master Of Ceremonies" will be released this year. He also made sure to note that the title will leave up to its name. As if you didn't know MC stands for Master Of Ceremony in case you didn't know.

Jadakiss will also release his long-awaited(in my opinion) album, "Top 5 Dead Or Alive". I'm looking forward to that.

Nas Owes Back Taxes

It looks like Nas' money situation never seems to improve and just when it seems to; it only gets worse. I hope he can get it together as evident in his latest troubles which you can read about below as well as stories on T.I.'s new album success and Jennifer Hudson's new album.

Nas is the latest rapper to make headlines for tax troubles. God’s Son reportedly owes the government over $6 million for properties he owns in Eagles Landing, Ga and Queens, NY.

According to The Detroit News, this isn’t the first time Nasir has has problems with Uncle Sam; for the last three years the IRS has filed liens against the rapper. In addition, the Queensbridge MC reportedly owes money for a condo in his home borough. Managers of the building claim he failed to pay his $420 a month assessment fee since January of last year, and have also filed a lien.

But its not all looking down for the Illmatic MC. Earlier this month his child and spousal support payments to ex-wife Kelis were cut in half. Originally ordered to pay about $51,000 a month, an L.A. Superior Court judge reduced Nas’s expenses to about $25,000.

T.I. Goes Gold With New Album!

Though T.I.’s been behind bars since a month before the album’s release, and therefore unable to do any promotion, his seventh studio album, No Mercy, was just given Gold Certification for shipments in surplus of 500,000 units within the United States. The record, released December 7th, took only six weeks to earn the coveted hardware.

But the sales for No Mercy are certainly a step down from Tip’s last release, 2008's Paper Trail. That LP went Gold after its first week in stores and eventually reached Double Platinum. But, as mentioned before, T.I.’s incarceration and inability to tour and promote combined with the constant decline of record sales can be blamed for much of the discrepancy between those two albums’ sales.

The second single from No Mercy, “That’s All She Wrote”, was released last week. The song, which features Eminem, is currently sitting at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jennifer Hudson To Release New Album!

Grammy and Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will release her highly anticipated sophomore album I Remember Me on March 22 on Arista Records. The album’s first single, “Where You At,” written and produced by R. Kelly, will be serviced to radio on January 24 (a 30-second snippet can be heard now at www.jenniferhudson.com). The album is available for pre-order starting today on Jennifer’s website and purchasers will receive an exclusive early download of the debut single “Where You At” the week of January 24th.

The album title, I Remember Me, is based on a poem written by Jennifer and composed into a beautiful song co-written by Ryan
Tedder that will be featured on the album. Additional writers and producers on the album include multi-award winners Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Rich Harrison, Ne-Yo and Stargate.

“I’m excited about this album because it’s almost like a renewal for me, reflected through the chapters of my life,” comments Jennifer. “I’ve called it ‘I Remember Me’ because of the journey I’ve been on. I’ve learned that life constantly surprises you, no matter your plans. My fans have been so loyal, I feel like they have been on this journey with me and I can’t wait for them to hear the new album.”

Jennifer Lopez Denies Mariah Carey Feud

Though its been reported over the years, Jennifer Lopez has put an end to the rumors that she has been feuding with Mariah Carey. Actually Jennifer Lopez called into Nick Cannon's show, Mariah's husband and dispelled the rumors.

Many years ago there were rumors about the two singers feuding due to Mariah's ex-husband, Tommy Mottola having a hand in Jennifer Lopez's career. Many felt like Tommy was manipulating Jennifer into a Mariah wannabe and taking songs that were originally for Mariah and giving them to Jennifer. It's a long story but one that many people who keep up with gossip know all too well. Well I'm glad that the two have put whatever ill feelings they may have had towards one another behind them and moved on.

There's a rumor going around that Monica and Whitney Houston will likely duet for Monica's new album, "New Life" in stores this summer. It could likely happen since they are on the same label.

Personally I think a collabo between the two would be nice but save it for Whitney's album!

Kanye West has revealed that he will release a new album this summer. He also announced that his collaboration album with Jay-Z, "Watch The Throne" will be in stores this March and his video for the single, "All The Lights" will be released within' a week.

I always feel like when an artist attempts to release an album the following year or a few months later, I wonder is it because the current album has underperformed? We will wait and see as far as Kanye's new album is concerned. Despite all the great reviews, "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" has received, I just found myself not being able to get into it like that. Sucks!

Monica To Release New Album This Summer

If you haven't already read, Monica has been secretly married to her NBA boo, Shannon Brown. I'm just not sure how long though. In other Monica news, she is diligently working on a new album, "New Life" to be released this summer. The album will be released this summer. Working on the album are Missy Elliott, Oak(worked with Trey Songz) and Andrew Wansel(worked with Nicki Minaj).

Musiq is back with a new single, "Anything" featuring Swizz Beats. It is the first single from his upcoming album, "TheMusicTheMagic" in this stores this Spring. Make sure you look out for that!

Marsha Ambrosius' debut album, "Late Nights & Early Mornings" has another new release date, March 1. The album features the singles, "Far Away" and "I Hope She Cheats On You(With A Basketball Player). I swear if they push this album back one more time...

I remember the hype around Lupe Fiasco when he first hit the scene but I never bought into the hype. I'm not taking away from his talent but he doesn't do it for me.

Lil' Wayne Prepares Video For New Single

At this point everyone has heard the new Lil' Wayne single, "6 Foot 7 Foot" and soon everyone will be seeing the video soon. Read below for details on the video as well as Marsha Ambrosius' debut album and Mariah Carey's latest triumph

Lil Wayne puts his dukes up in the video for “6 Foot 7 Foot,” the first single from Tha Carter IV, due this spring. The rapper portrays a boxer in the first images from the highly-anticipated clip, which seems to be inspired by the award-winning film The Fighter.

Hype is building for the visuals, said to be amongst Weezy’s most ambitious to date. Featured guest Cory Gunz, his father/manager Peter Gunz, and the rest of the Young Money crew make cameos.

“I would love to tell everybody the concept, but there will be people trying to get the idea and put it out before ’6 Foot 7 Foot’ drops,” Wayne’s videographer DJ Scoob Doo told MTV RapFix. “But once people see ’6 Foot 7 Foot,’ I guarantee that it’s going to be a game changer.”

Mariah Carey Breaks New Record!

Mariah Carey has yet another reason to celebrate as her ‘Merry Christmas II You’ album has become her 16th gold-certified album in the US. The icon’s 2nd Holiday collection was released on November 2nd and sold over 435k units in stores (with shipments exceeding 500k) after only 8 weeks in the US despite limited promotion. The gold certification was officially issued on January 11th.

These latest figures have taken Carey’s total album sales in the US to 53.2 million since 1991, giving her the highest numbers amongst women in the SoundScan era ahead of Celine Dion (51.1 million), Shania Twain (34 million) and Britney Spears (31.6 million). Moreover, Carey has the 3rd highest album sales of any artist (male or female) in that territory in the last 20 years.

In terms of shipments, the diva has moved over 63.5 million units in the US since her debut in 1990, placing her 3rd amongst women behind only Barbra Streisand (71.5 million) and Madonna (64 million). Legendary.

Halle Berry Turns Down Aretha Franklin Biopic

Aretha Franklin has been going on about a possible actress to play her in a biopic and her pic has been without a doubt; Halle Berry. On the red carpet for the Golden Globes, Halle said she doesn't think she would do the role justice and she can't sing. I just think that Halle doesn't want to do it. I mean you don't have to know how to sing. You could lip sync the singing parts. Angela Bassett did that for Tina Turner. I'm just saying!

It looks like Rihanna will release two new singles from her gold album, "Loud". The opening track "S&M" and the Nicki Minaj featured song, "Raining Men". Listen out for those songs and be sure to request them songs on your local radio stations.

I guess the rumors were true. Monica did in fact get secretly married to her boo, Shannon Brown. Congratulations again to the two!

Word on the street is that Monica has secretly married her boo, NBA star; Shannon Brown. Monica's boo appeared in the video for her single, "Love All Over Me" and ever since then word of their romance spread like wildfire. If so they make a very nice looking couple and congratulations!

Monica is working on a new album, "New Life" which will be released sometime in the near future.

Many of may of not heard a lot of new music from Jacki-O but the rapper is back and attacking Lil' Kim on a series of new songs including "Black & Yellow Remix" and "Bang Bang". Apparently Jacki-O is upset over Lil' Kim stealing her alter ego Griselda Blanco by referring to herself as "Kimmy Blanco". It all sounds a little childish if you ask me but this just gives Lil' Kim the ammunition she needs to maybe put out a good album. Currently Nicki Minaj, Foxy Brown, and Jacki-O has issued dis songs towards Lil' Kim. Who's next? Shawnna? Ha!

Chris Brown will release his new album, "F.A.M.E. + Fortune" this Spring. The album will contain the singles, "Yeah 3x" and the recently released, "Beautiful"(which I haven't heard yet). I wouldn't be surprised if "Dueces" and "No BS" are thrown on this album just because.

Keyshia Cole Plans To Release New Single

Keyshia Cole will release "Take Me Away" as the second or third(depends on who you ask) single off her recently released album, "Calling All Hearts". A lot of people like the song and its an obvious single choice. The singles released so far, "I Ain't Thru" and "Long Way Down" haven't been hits. Hopefully "Take Me Away" will do the trick.

Beanie Sigel has expressed interest in signing to Cash Money and I can't blame him. Cash Money/Young Money is popping right now with albums from Drake and Nicki Minaj; not to mention Lil' Wayne's upcoming album(whenever its released). He wants to be where the money is being made. Beanie Sigel is currently working on his album, "The Classic". Make sure you look out for that!

Snoop Dogg will release his new album, "Doggumentary" on March 29. The album features the singles, "New Year's Eve" and "Wet" which is named after his upcoming tour. This will be Snoop's 11th album! Can you believe it?

Beyonce To Release New Album

In September. That's quite awhile away right? Well this is according to one of her overseas divisions of her label. A new single is supposed to surface at the end of June. Seems like a long time away but that time will be here before we know it.

Not much is known about Beyonce's new album except that Sean Garrett is writing on it; as normal. The producer recently gushed about this possibly being Beyonce's biggest album yet.

Dr. Dre will release his long awaited album, "Detox" on April 20. The album features the hit single, "Kush" featuring Snoop Dogg & Akon. "Detox" has been a long time in the making and has suffered many pushbacks over the years.

I just read that Keyshia Cole has fired her longtime manager, Manny Hailey. Of course many are saying its because her latest album, "Calling All Hearts" has not done so well. But then again artists don't always stay with the same manager anyway. Often times when an artist embarks on the next stage of their career, that management change has to be indefinite.

Whitney Houston To Start Work On New Album

That's the word as of June 2011, the singer is said to return to the studio to record the follow up to her platinum 2009 album, "I Look To You".

Lil' Wayne will appear on another remix of Nicki Minaj's "Roman's Revenge". There was a remix floating around with Busta Rhymes but I'm not sure if it was official or unofficial. Also Nicki Minaj will appear on "SNL" on January 29. Look out for that!

Lil' Wayne's twitter account was hacked and whoever hacked it went on a tangent. The culprit send out shocking messages to fans and rappers alike including Fat Joe, The Game, and Soulja Boy.

I remember a few days ago Lil' Wayne's password was a Trending Topic on twitter. I guess people were really guessing and someone got it. Some people simply have way too much time on their hands.

Kelly Price Picks Release Date For New Album

Kelly Price will release her new album, "Kelly" on March 29. The album will feature the singles, "Tired" and the recently released, "Not My Daddy" featuring Stokely of Mint Condition.

50 Cent has shelved his upcoming album, "Black Magic". The album which didn't have an exact release date was to showcase 50's new sound. I don't think anyone was expecting it like that unless the first single was major.

Meanwhile 50 Cent is continuing his domineering ways in terms of money making 8.7 million dollars in one day via twitter. Apparently the rapper urged fans to buy stocks in a business.

Chris Brown will release "Beautiful" as his newest single from his upcoming album, "F.A.M.E.". Chris' upcoming album has no release date right now but I'm sure it will be huge upon its release. Basically every song that Chris Brown has released or touched in the past few months has been major.

Jennifer Lopez is taking advantage of her gig on "American Idol" and her new deal with Island Def Jam Records. Ironically its the same label rumored nemesis Mariah Carey is signed too. I wonder how Mariah felt when she got that news? I really think the two have kissed and made up or have no ill feelings towards one another.

I take it "Good Hit" is the first single from J-Lo's upcoming album. A song with Pitbull also leaked out as well; not in video form though. Check that out! I haven't heard that one yet but Pitbull is pretty hot right now so I don't blame her for jumping on that wagon.

Lil' Kim Hires Nicki Minaj Lookalike For New Video!

Lil' Kim is not going down without a fight far as this Nicki Minaj beef is concerned. Lil' Kim and her new crew, I.R.S.(International Rock Stars) just released "Clap Clap" which many people have already dogged. Besides that Kim just shot a video for that song as well as "Black Friday" which will appear on her upcoming mixtape. In the video for "Black Friday", Kim will feature a Nicki Minaj lookalike. The lookalike really resembles Nicki Minaj and many people were thinking they were photoed together. Not!

Word is Ciara will release "Turn It Up" featuring Usher as her next single off her album, "Basic Instinct". Maybe this will be the single that turns Ciara's album around which hasn't done very well at all. I liked "Speechless"(the second single) but I felt they didn't push it hard enough personally.

Soulja Boy seems to keep finding ways to keep his name out there since his current album, "The DeAndre Way" flopped. Me mentioning here is even more press but nonetheless the rapper/producer is upset with Kanye West and the Grammy committee. Soulja Boy feels that he deserved the Grammy he was nominated for a few years ago for "Crank That" in which he lost to Kanye West.

I just feel like its in the past now. Get over it! Strive to win another if your fortunate enough to be nominated for another one.

Music Feed: Homophobic Rants

Foxy Brown, Chris Brown, and The Game have recently all found themselves in hot water regarding their homophobic rants on twitter.

I will start with the always controversial Foxy Brown; who was upset after a premature leak of her song, "Christmas Massacre" or "Massacre". She blamed some intern or interns for the leak and had some choice words for them including fa**ot. It wasn't long before those comments were all over the blogs.

This isn't the first time Foxy has used such phrases. I believe awhile back Foxy near did a hit and run on some random guy and she called him a fa**ot; well that was the story; not sure how true that was though.

Chris Brown has been minding his own business and that alone makes him a target. He has been successfully reviving his career and out of nowhere Raz B comes for Chris Brown's throat on twitter. His comments regarding Chris Brown's relationship with Rihanna really upset Chris; so much for anger management huh? Chris then went on a spree making comments regarding Raz B's sexuality and calling him a f*g among other things.

TMZ caught wind of the beef and had a field day of course and Chris Brown and Raz B both later apologized for their words and actions.

The Game came out of nowhere question a man's need to have another man's penis in his ass. I thought it was pretty random of a question. Why was he so curious anyway? Hmm makes you wonder. I mean people were surprised at his comments but then again Game says a lot of stupid and off the wall things anyway.

Ginuwine Releases Second Single!

Ginuwine will release, "Break" as the second single from his upcoming album, "Elgin"(his real name if you didn't know) on February 15. "Break" was produced by Bryan Michael Cox and written by Diane Warren. I found out that the song had previously been recorded by singer Frankie J.

Omarion supposedly came out of the closet admitting he was bisexual? I'm not sure how true it is but it was a Trending Topic on twitter. Until he comes out and confirm it; I will treat it as just that a rumor.

Omarion's sexuality had been questioned before primarily due to his close relationship with Bow Wow.

Foxy Brown is catching some heat from a homophobic rant she typed on twitter. The rapper was upset at an intern who leaked out an early version of her "Massacre" song which is a dis to Lil' Kim. Foxy referred to the intern or interns responsible as "fa**ots" among other things.

Foxy is certainly not the first to unleash the word or use homophobic words. More recently Chris Brown and The Game(who oddly enough are collaborating) released homophobic rants on twitter and of course there is always backlash. I think people just need to choose their words carefully and think about who your followers are.

Kelly Price To Release New Single!

Kelly Price will release; "Not My Daddy" featuring Stokely of Mint Condition. It is the second single from her upcoming album, "Kelly" which currently has no release date. Kelly previously released the single, "Tired" which barely made a dent in the R&B charts and stalled somewhere in the 90s(on the charts).

Raphael Saadiq will release his fifth album, "Stone Rollin" on March 22. The album features the first single, "Radio".

I like Raphael as a producer for other artists but on the solo front; I never care for what he releases.

Marsha Ambrosius will release her solo debut album, "Late Nights & Early Mornings" on February 22. The album features the singles, "I Hope She Cheats On You(With A Basketball Player)" and the recently released, "Far Away".

Producer Spotlight: Rico Love

Rico Love is a hit making producer whose produced a string of hits over the years. The producer was born in Milwaukee and briefly lived in Tallahassee, Atlanta, and New Orleans. He started out as a rapper before joining Usher on tour to eventually writing for him among others.

Kanye West and Jay-Z are releasing their collaborative mixtape effort, "Watch The Throne" on January 11. The first single from the mixtape is "H.A.M.". I never heard the song yet and I'm not sure if its leaked yet or not. Judging from the artwork; its safe to assume what many people will think or are already thinking. Looking at this I see now how those pesky Illuminati rumors live on.

Nas Support Payments Cut!

In late May last year Nas and Kelis officially divorced after four years of marriage and a year of separation. The Judge ordered Nas to pay $10,000 a month in child support for their just-born son. If that wasn't steep enough, he was also ordered to pay $40,000 a month in alimony.

Shortly after, the Queensbridge emcee claimed he couldn't afford his monthly support bills, and now a Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge has listened.

According to TMZ, the Judge has cut his child support to $5000 per month and his spousal support down to $20000.

T.I. Reprimanded During Prison Visit!

T.I. was reprimanded in prison, after security guards caught the Atlanta rapper engaged in a sexual act with his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle.

The rap star is serving a year-long sentence at Arkansas State Prison for violating the terms of his previous probation, stemming from an incident in September of 2010, when he and his wife were busted for possession of ecstasy in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ.com, guards caught T.I. and Tiny engaged in the sexual act during regular visiting hours at the prison, which adheres to strict guidelines when it comes to prisoners and visitors.

As a result of their sexual escapade, T.I. was sent to a "Special Housing Unit" for an undetermined amount of time.

Toni Braxton Doing Playboy?

They say desperate times calls for desperate measures. I'm not saying Toni is exactly desperate but the last few years haven't been so kind to her; financially or medically. Now the singer is contemplating doing a spread for the coveted magazine who has approached her a series of times. Of course with a new reality TV show in the works; who couldn't think of a more perfect time. Might as well put an album out behind it too though I don't see it happening. Good luck Toni and I'm eager to see the spread. Pun intended!

Game is releasing a new mixtape; "Purp & Patron" really soon. His own album, "The R.E.D. Album" is still without a release date and will probably be that way for awhile. Probably until he has a single that pop off. Game recently revealed he is working Wiz Khalifa on his new album.

Trina is also another rapper who will release her new mixtape, "Save The Best For Last" on February 14. There is said to be a new Trina album released sometimes this year and Kanye West is reportedly one of the producers involved. There has also been some footage leaked out of an alleged reality show that has been in the works.

Aretha Franklin Speaks On Recent Health Issues!

So not long ago we heard that Aretha Franklin had pancreatic cancer. Now the singer has come forward and speaks on her health issues. Check it out!

Aretha Franklin is opening up a bit about her health after her mystery surgery last month, though she still refuses to answer the million-dollar question.

"I am not going to even deal with that," Franklin, 68, tells JET of the reports that she has pancreatic cancer. "I don't have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors." But, she adds, "The problem has been resolved."

Whether that means she does or does not have the disease that took Patrick Swayze's life in 2009 remains to be seen – and the Queen of Soul seems unlikely to speak out on the matter.

"I am not one to do a lot of talking about my personal health or business," she said. "There are a lot of people who will talk about anything, as long as there is somebody listening. That's not Aretha."

She does, however, urge her fans to take care of themselves, based on her own experiences.

The singer recalls having "a very hard pain in my side" at a Toronto concert last year. She assumed it was related to a recent colonoscopy, but her doctor thought otherwise and urged her to have a CAT-scan.

"Thank God he said that because that unfolded everything, what the problem was and everything," she says, encouraging fans to keep a close eye on their own health.

"If there is anything happening with you that is uncommon and something that you know should not be happening, go to your doctor," says Franklin. "Be determined to find out what is going on."

As she continues recuperating, the singer adds that she is grateful for her supportive fanbase.

"I want to thank my fans and friends and supporters who have prayed for me and sent me beautiful cards and flowers," she says. "Please continue to respect my privacy as I continue to recover."

Nicki Minaj To Shoot Video With Rihanna!

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are ready to spread their wings and “Fly.” The ladies are scheduled to shoot a video for their collaboration off the Young Money rapper’s platinum-certified debut Pink Friday, with Sanaa Hamri in the director’s chair. Hamri has helmed videos for Mariah Carey, Prince, and B.o.B.

The Harajuku Barbie has been steady on the video grind, most recently shooting a clip for “Moment 4 Life” with her Young Money cohort Drake. Already, Nicki has released visuals for “Your Love,” “Check It Out,” and “Right Thru Me,” where she flexed her acting chops.

Gucci Mane Order To Psychiatric Ward!

Radric Davis, the rapper's given name, appeared before Fulton County Superior Court Judge John Goger Monday for allegedly violating terms of his probation, according to a transport order. Davis' attorney, Michael Holmes, filed a "special plea of mental" incompetency on behalf of his client, who has battled drug problems in the past.

The rapper was sent to Anchor Hospital, a 111-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Records show Davis has been in the Fulton County Jail at least five times since 2005 on drug, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges. Monday marked the second time in a year he's been incarcerated for violating terms of his probation.

Foxy Brown Sued, Let Go By Manager!

Troubled rapper Foxy Brown has been dumped by her manager, Bernadette Brennan over her recent rant on Twitter.

Foxy recently denounced Bernadette as a "fake manager," despite Bernadette bailing Foxy out of jail for last summer's mooning incident and Bernadette supporting Foxy after a July meltdown when Foxy tried to attack her.

Bernadette now says she plans to sue Foxy for costing her more than $100,000 in studio fees, among other expenses.

So far, Foxy has not released a statement about the split.

After six weeks of release, Nicki Minaj's debut album, "Pink Friday" has officially been certified Platinum! The album has sold nearly a million copies and continues to be one of the best selling albums in the country.

Nicki is currently shooting the video for her new single; "Moment 4 Life" featuring Drake and appears on the newest issue of KING magazine. Congrats Nick!

Apparently Lil' Kim's comments that were made during her New Year's Eve performance were taken out of context. There is no Lil' Kim and Mary J. dis record in the works but Kim feels she wouldn't let another person disrespect Keyshia on a track she's featured on.

Lil' Kim just expects everyone to be one-sided and not be able to be friends with Nicki Minaj. I understand Kim and Keyshia were on a track two years ago but Kim needs to just focus on putting an album out and get away from that horrendous crew she's rolling with now; IRS!

Rick Ross just announced that he is releasing a new album titled, "God Forgives, I Don't". There is no word on the release date but the first single, "Made Men" features Drake was recently leaked out.

Rick Ross is obviously on a hit streak and he's not stopping anytime soon but I think sometimes artists get a little carried away. I mean "Teflon Don" went gold and I'm sure this one won't be any different.

Who might that be you ask? None other than rapper Ras Kass who you may or may not know. Ras Kass is a West Coast rapper. His baby mama is singer Teedra Moses. He also happens to be an affiliate of 50 Cent and G-Unit. Go figure! Well three years ago Ras and Game had an altercation where Ras allegedly got punched by Game. Skip to three years later; the rappers have squared off again resulting in both rappers trading insults on their twitter accounts. Ras Kass claims to have a picture of a busted and wounded Game. I'm waiting to see!

Ja Rule is set to release a new album; "Renaissance" before his impending jail sentence. If you recall the rapper was caught carrying a loaded gun. The rapper is no longer signed to The Inc. Instead the album will be released under his own label; MPire Music Group. There is no word on a first single or release date but I can't suspect anyone is actually anticipating this album. At least not until we hear some music anyway.

So everyone has left The Inc. I see?

Nelly will release "Gone" featuring Kelly Rowland as his third single from his recently released album, "5.0" in stores now. Previously Nelly and Kelly collaborated on the song; "Dilemma" which was a big hit!

Toni Braxton To Star In New Reality Show

Toni Braxton is the latest star to be given her own reality show. The show has been in the works for awhile and finally has a network and air date. Read more about that below as well as the latest with Ginuwine and his new album.

Braxton, the Grammy-winning singer of "Un-Break My Heart" and "You're Makin' Me High," will appear in "Braxton Family Values" on the WE network starting in April. Braxton's sisters — Traci, Towanda, Trina and Tamar — are all aspiring singers.

The WE network appeals chiefly to women, and with Oprah Winfrey's new OWN network going on the air last weekend, it is looking to sharpen its focus for viewers. The network said it will emphasize programs that feature families.

The dynamic of four women trying to follow the 43-year-old Braxton into show business — with varying levels of success — appealed to WE executives. The network's research indicated that programs about families, often with a humorous touch, is a niche worth exploring.

Ginuwine New Spokesperson For Chocolate Milk!

Ginuwine is the new spokesman for a 40 proof version of chocolate milk that will soon hit the shelves in 2011 of a Costco near you.

Like Billy Dee to malt liquor, Ludacris to Conjure Cognac, and Diddy to Ciroc, Ginuwine has added his brand of sexiness to a new alcoholic drink known as Adult Chocolate Milk. Who knew?

Ginuwine will be on billboards on the Vegas Strip soon and there's also a national TV commercial planned that I'm sure will give the Old Spice Guy a run for his money.

As the sexy chocolate milkman, imagine Ginuwine showing up to your door with a delivery...and licking his own milk mustache.

Lil' Kim Plans Dis Song For Nicki Minaj, Keyshia Cole!

Lil' Kim is still angry and it was evident during a recent performance during some New Year's Eve festivities. Kim stopped midway through a song when she fired a warning to Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole for their song; "I Ain't Thru". Kim went on to say that her and Mary J. Blige were doing a song together dissing Nicki and Keyshia.

Wow! Looks like Kim is the one keeping this feud going. Meanwhile Nicki has remained pretty quiet far as I know. Knowing Nicki though she might pop up on a featured single and throw a few shots at Kim. Word is that Nicki might appear on Britney Spears' first single. Stay tuned!

In other Nicki Minaj news the singer is supposedly rumored to share a kiss with Drake for the video of her new single; "Moment 4 Life". Also Nicki Minaj appears on the new issue of KING magazine but I have to find it and upload for you all that have yet to see it.

Jazmine Sullivan delivered some not so good news via her twitter account. Apparently the singer is taking a break from the music industry. This comes on the heels of her recently released album, "Love Me Back" and I'm wondering does it have anything to do with the album underperfoming among other things? I'm sure there could be a lot going on with her personally that we all aren't aware of. It is unfortunate though and I'm sure many of her fans are disappointed but they should support her nonetheless.

Producer Spotlight: Ester Dean

Ester Dean is not primarily known for her production work but moreover her songwriting work. In the past year or so Ester Dean has put her pen to many hit singles that have dominated radio. Ester was even responsible for penning her own hit; "Drop It Low" featuring Chris Brown.

Born in Oklahoma; Ester Dean eventually moved to Atlanta before landing in L.A. It was then and there she hooked up with producer Polow Da Don for his Zone 4 productions. His latest productions are all done with the assistance of Ester Dean. Check your album linear notes people; for those of us who still do buy albums.

Album Spotlight: Sunshine Anderson - Your Woman

Sunshine Anderson burst on the scene in 2001 with her debut album, "Your Woman". The album featured the hit single, "Heard It All Before". "Lunch Or Dinner" was released as the second single but it didn't have the same impact as "Heard". The album was largely produced by Mike City; an underrated producer in his own right.

The album features a duet with a then unknown Anthony Hamilton who appears on one of my favorite songs; "Last Night". Some of my other favorites from this album include; "Crazy Love", "Letting Down My Guard", "Saved The Day", and "Where Have You Been".

Chris Brown To Collaborate With Bruno Mars

Chris Brown has announced via his twitter page that he is working with singer Bruno Mars; possibly for his new album I'm thinking.

In other Chris Brown news; the ongoing feud between he and Raz B has resulted in both singers issuing apologies not necessarily to each other but more so for their actions.

Keri Hilson is currently celebrating the opening sales week of new album, "No Boys Allowed" which sold 102K units in its first week. Despite her new album hitting shelves, Keri and producer Polow Da Don are planning to begin work on a new album at the top of 2011. Polow Da Don even went on record via twitter to announce the possibility of a duet between Keri and rumored nemesis; Ciara. Should be exciting right?

Lloyd has pushed back the release of his upcoming album, "King Of Hearts" to March 22. The album was originally slated to be released on February 14. The album features the singles; "Lay It Down" and "Let's Get It In" featuring 50 Cent.

Lloyd recently released a remix to single; "Lay It Down" featuring Patti LaBelle. "Lay It Down" contains a sample from the Patti LaBelle classic, "Love, Need, Want".

Nicki Minaj Performs Save Me!

My first post of the new year; 2011 is about the one and only Nicki Minaj who had an incredible year in 2010. I know 2011 is no exception. Nicki performs one of the more favored tracks on her album, "Pink Friday", "Save Me". The appearance appeared last night prior to the New York Times Square ball drop. I didn't catch any of the shows last night even though I overheard the pre-recorded mess of "106 & Park" and their New Year's celebration.
