Album Spotlight: Teedra Moses - Complex Simplicity

It was six years ago when Teedra Moses released her first and only album to date, "Complex Simplicity" on the TVT label. At the time the label TVT was popping with acts like Lil' Jon. It is funny how quickly times change.

When I first heard Teedra Moses' debut single, "You'll Never Find(A Better Woman)", I thought she was Ameriie. Teedra, herself later noted that a lot of people compared her to Amerie early on.

"Complex Simplicity" didn't actually set the charts on fire but it was critically acclaimed in its own right. It housed two singles, the aforementioned "You'll Never Find" and "Be Your Girl".

Don't sleep on the standout tracks, "Caution", "No More Tears", "Backstroke", and "Caught Up".

Teedra soon became R&B's hidden secret and would later develop a cult following. Over the years Teedra has released a few mixtapes as we all await a new album from her.
