to avoid the mistakes she made with her last record. Instead of waiting eons to release her second single, LeToya releases her second single, "She Ain't Got[Shit On Me] ahead of her scheduled album release, August 25. By the time she released, "She Don't" on her first album, the album was pretty much in a downward spiral down the charts. She did manage to go platinum though.





LeToya bares a striking resemblance to Amerie and a lot of the dancing recalls Amerie. The video also reminds me a lot of Teairra Mari's "Cause A Scene".

This is Vibe's last issue and after news broke that magazine will cease publication. What a way to go out with a bang! You get one of the most...what can I say...awkward hook ups in a long time for a cover story! Way to go Vibe! Too bad this cover won't save your magazine.


The picture looks really rough. It looks like a picture Dream and Christina could of easily taken themselves. I'm sure there had to had been some better pictures of the couple. This looks like a cover the couple may of had in their personal collection. We see better pictures of the couple out in public. Then again this is all for shock value and the picture should of been airbrushed.

Michael Jackson's Kids Not His?

We’ve learned Michael Jackson was not the biological father of any of his children. And Debbie Rowe is not the biological mother of the two kids she bore for Michael. All three children were conceived in vitro — outside the womb.

Multiple sources deeply connected to the births tell us Michael was not the sperm donor for any of his kids. Debbie’s eggs were not used. She was merely the surrogate, and paid well for her services in the births of Michael Jr. and Paris.

In the case of Prince Michael II (the youngest), we’re told the surrogate was never told of the identity of the “receiving parent” — Michael Jackson. Three days after Prince was born at Grossmont Hospital in San Diego County, Jackson’s lawyer came to the hospital to pick the baby up and deliver him to Michael. We do not know if Jackson chose the sperm or egg donors or if he even knew who they were.

Each day will continue to get even more interesting as more is revealed about Jackson's personal life. A lot of the info is surprising I will say but not too surprising.

Vibe Magazine Kaput!

Vibe magazine, the urban-music magazine founded in 1993 by Quincy Jones, is the latest victim of the media recession. A source with knowledge of the situation tells DailyFinance that the staff has learned the magazine is ceasing publication, and an assistant in the office of editor in chief Danyel Smith confirmed the news. No further information was immediately available. A call to Vibe Media CEO Steve Aaron was not immediately returned, nor was a message left for Smith.

Vibe enjoyed significant success in the late '90s and early part of this decade as hip hop and R&B became the nation's predominant forms of pop music. But in recent years the title has fallen on hard times under its new owner, the Wicks Group, which bought it in 2006. In February, it reduced its circulation and publishing frequency, cut salaries and moved employees to a four-day workweek to save money.

Vibe had definitely went downhill over the years and many people can attest to that. I wasn't surprised when I read that King magazine was stopping publication. I am however very surprised to learn this about Vibe.

Michael Jackson's Will Revealed!

Michael Jackson's will, reportedly drafted in 2002, is said to divide his assets between his mother, three children and one or more charities. According to The Wall Street Journal, several sources close with the pop star said a lawyer for Jackson could submit the will - which is thought to be his last - to Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.

This story is still developing so the information above may change as it is somewhat unconfirmed. I did hear some of this story on TV too though.

50 Cent On His Fading Popularity!

Fiddy believes fans are quick to forget his history; getting caught up in whoever is hot at the moment. “What you’re talking about is who is a buzz,” he explained. “A buzz is a song. So the next song that I release can turn me back into what you feel like is the hottest thing out here. So I mean if I’m showing you full capability of it than what makes you doubt that.”

“We get those moments where people decide to doubt and I’m fine with it,” he adds. “You know and then they’ll change their mind and I’ll tell em suck my dick, kiss my ass and everything else at the same time because they decided to doubt for that small time period.”

50 Cent is definitely as outspoken as they come. The majority of the time he irks me with a lot of his comments. A lot of the time he just comes out of the woodworks making comments about other artists when he's not even asked about them. I will say 50 does have the right to his opinion and at the end of the day he is still the richest man in Hip-Hop. Nuff said!

Well, the wait is over: After weeks of speculation, Drake has chosen to go with the home team and sign with Lil Wayne's Young Money Records, according to a source close to the situation. The deal breaks down as a joint venture between Young Money and Cash Money, with Universal Republic distributing. Drake's management was adamant that he should be viewed as an independent artist, although Universal will distribute the project.

Lil' Kim

doesn't know what she wants to do musically nor creatively. At one point she proclaimed her new album stand next to classics such as Nas' "Illmatic". Then it was revealed that she was going to do something completely out the box. Now she is deciding to take it back to the 'hardcore' days. What gives? Kelis Requests Change In Court Date!

A lawyer representing Kelis in her divorce from Nas has asked the judge to move up a hearing to determine the amount of his support payments because she may be in labor on July 21.

As previously reported, Kelis is seeking hundreds of thousands of dollars to make sure the baby – due next month – is accustomed to the lifestyle that her mother has enjoyed. This includes a request of $20,000 worth of items such as baby strollers and cribs for the little one, as well as $3,500 for a baby nurse.

"But here's the snag. Kelis may be in labor during the hearing. And she needs money badly. So her lawyer went to court asking to move the hearing date up," reports TMZ.com.

Unfortunately, the judge was on vacation and the substitute judge refused to revise the court calendar.

Many artists have tried it and failed but Deborah Cox, Tamia, and Kelly Price are doing an album together. Hmmm I don't know how I feel about that. I own albums or have had albums from each singer and I think they are better suited as solo vocalists but you can't knock it 'til you try it.

News on Michael Jackson's Death!

TMZ is reporting that "close friend" of the Jackson family said the deceased superstar was receiving daily injections a synthetic narcotic similar to morphine -- Demerol -- and yesterday he received a shot at 11:30 AM.

Family members are saying the dosage was "too much" and that's what caused his death.

Speculation has already begun as to what killed the 50-year-old "King of Pop" just weeks before a long-awaited series of comeback concerts.

In an interview Lieutenant Brian Elias of the coroner’s office told Reuters a conclusive autopsy can take one to two weeks or up to six to eight weeks.

“We look at anything from the circumstances at the scene of death to medical history, medications and such.”

Those tests will determine if Jackson had any drugs, alcohol or prescription medications in his system.

As you can imagine more and more is being revealed regarding Michael Jackson's untimely death. Jackson's autopsy results have been deferred as they plan to run more tests.

Foxy Brown Denies Special Treatment In Jail!

Foxy Brown is firing back against a report in the New York Post this week that claimed she received preferential treatment while serving a nine month prison sentence at Riker’s Island.

“In response to the sensationalized front cover article and erroneous allegations made by the NY Post, NO special privileges were afforded Foxy Brown at Riker’s Island,” said Brown’s publicist. “In fact, due to her celebrity status, many basic privileges were denied by the Warden and rules over-enforced. Her meals were served off the tray, she wore prison garb, and had the same phone time allotted her as any other inmate.”

I just think its pretty stupid how this story is being reported now merely a year after Foxy has been out of jail. Fox's been relatively quiet except for a small clip of her in the studio with rap producer Easy Mo Bee[worked with Nas]. Thankfully and surprisingly Foxy has stayed out of trouble. Now I'm just hoping she releases a new album this year.

Jennifer Lopez's Clothing Line Turns Sour!

Jennifer Lopez is temporarily ending sales of her 6-year-old fashion line Sweetface due to the bad economy, according to WWD.com.

The last of the line's collection of sportswear and accessories for now will be its spring 2009 collection, which is currently in stores.

"In light of new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view," the company said in a statement.

Wow I am somewhat surprised then again I'm not. Jennifer Lopez's career has took somewhat of a nosedive primarily since she's been out of the spotlight. Now with a upcoming movie and a new album in the works, Lopez is poised to make a comeback of sorts.

Actress/Soul singer Jill Scott is happy with the recent birth of her son Jett but, with that blessing came an unexpected change. According to the former "Golden" singer, the celebrated engagement to musician Lil' John Roberts and their anticipated wedding is a thing of the past.

Scott, currently writing for her next album, broke the news with Essence Tuesday, stating "John and I are no longer together".

"When you have a baby you're dealing with a lot of emotions and I don't know how much of it had to do with us breaking up, but it happens," Scott told the magazine after being asked how Roberts was adjusting to their son Jett.

How do you like your money?

Do you like it pretty? Do you like it dirty? or Do you like it young? Lately several new groups have been formed all including the name 'money'. Certainly there is money to be made and who doesn't love money.

Starting with Trina, the rapstress has formed a female super group titled, Pretty Money. The group has appeared on a few songs with Trina primarily on the "Millionaires Girl's Club" mixtape released a few months ago.

Dirty Money is the newest group featuring Diddy, Dawn Richards(formerly of Danity Kane), and Kaleena(Who?). The group has already released a song called, "Angels" which features the late Notorious B.I.G. I haven't heard the song so I don't know if its any good. I also remember reading that Dirty Money will make an appearance on Diddy's upcoming album, "Last Train To Paris".

Perhaps one of the biggest rap clicks in recent years is Young Money. Spearheaded by Lil' Wayne, the group features upcoming rappers such as Drake and Nicki Minaj. The group's single, 'Every Girl" has been heating up the radio airwaves and an upcoming album is in the works.

The 25th day

Michael Jackson's sudden death has saddened and shocked everyone. Yesterday while at my mom's house, my friend texted me saying "Michael Jackson had went into cardiac arrest". Later on once I got home my other friend texted me saying "Michael Jackson has died!". Boy was I shocked! I turned on the TV and I didn't see anything about it. Finally I came across the BBC network and it revealed that unconfirmed reports were stating that Micheal had indeed died.

With Michael's sudden passing on June 25, it was later discovered that there is an eerie following of celebrities who have died on the 25th day of the month.

Aaliyah August 25
Many were shocked and saddened by the death of Aaliyah. While filming her video for "Rock The Boat", the singer's plane took off and crashed killing the star and several of its passengers.

Left Eye April 25
We were equally shocked and saddened at the death of Left-Eye. Later on a video was released leading to the very moments of her death.

James Brown December 25
The Godfather of Soul met his final resting place on Christmas day. Sad indeed.

Michael Jackson June 25
At only 50 years old, Michael Jackson's life was suddenly taken due to him going into cardiac arrest. An autopsy is currently being performed on the star.

Static Major February 25
Static Major may not be that well-known but he is responsible for many hit songs. He has written songs for Aaliyah and Pleasure P among others. He was also apart of the group Playa.

Bea Arthur April 25
"The Golden Girls" star dabbled in music but was primarily known for her roles on the aforementioned 'Girls' and "Maude.

Eartha Kitt December 25
Pop's original sex kitten died suddenly on Christmas day.

Farrah Fawcett June 25
The "Charlie's Angels" actress died five hours before Michael was pronounced dead. The former pin up girl had a long battle with cancer.

Whitney Houston has selected a title for her anticipated comeback album !

Due for release in September, Houston's forthcoming album earned the official title "I Look To You" Thursday.

The official naming of the former "I Will Always Love You" singer's album follows a series of recent promotional projects, including a photoshoot captured by Extra.

In related news, Alicia Keys has been linked to Houston's album. Keys, currently working on the follow up to 2007s "As I Am," is rumored to have penned a song for the former "I Have Nothing" singer titled "Million Dollar Bill" !

Aubrey O'Day Returns With New Album, Show!

Former Danity Kane star Aubrey O'Day is taking her Broadway learned skills to Las Vegas for a soon-to-be announced musical.

O'Day, currently filming a reality show slated to air later this year, confirmed the forthcoming Vegas show Wednesday.

"I'm about to take a huge star's position in a Vegas show that just opened," says O'Day.

According to MTV News, the former "Damaged" singer will reunite with Broadway choreographer Jerry Mitchell, who worked on 'Hairspray' and is behind this project.

In related news, O'Day is said to be busy at work on her solo debut as well. At this time there is no word on when a single will be released from that project.

Nearly 3 years ago it was reported that Timbaland stole a beat from an unknown producer and replicated for Nelly Furtado's "Do It" off her 2006, "Loose" album. Timbaland Sued!

Nelly Furtado and hip hop producer Timbaland are facing a new plagiarism lawsuit over their 2006 hit “Do It.” They’re accused of illegal sampling a track from an album called “Acidjazzed Evening” by an artist from Finland named Janne (“yan-ay”) Suni which was remixed by Norwegian musician Glenn Rune Gallefoss. This is actually the second time that this lawsuit has come around. A court in Helsinki, Finland dismissed the case back in 2007, but Kernel Records, the Finnish company that owns the original recordings, has filed a fresh lawsuit in Florida.

This time they plan to use Timbaland’s own words against him. The record company claims to have an interview in which Timba incriminates himself by talking about the difference between sampling and stealing. Timbaland allegedly said, “Sample and stole is two different things. Stole is like I walked in your house, watched you make it… went to my house and told Nelly, ‘Hey, I got a great song for you.’ Sample is like you heard it somewhere, and you just sampled. Maybe you didn’t know who it was by because it don’t have the credits listed.”

I remember this story being a big deal some while ago. Just when I figured it was dead and gone, it comes back from the dead.

Chris Brown Faces The Music!

Chris Brown has avoided jail time in his assault case against Rihanna by reaching a last minute plea deal that involves probation, domestic violence classes, community service and having to stay at least 50 yards away from the pop starlet.

Brown, 20, will be sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor to be served in Virginia, according to People.com. He must also take one year of domestic violence classes, and pay fines. In exchange, he pleaded guilty to felony assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury.

Brown also was ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna – except at industry events, when it's 10 yards – despite a request from Rihanna's camp that the pair be allowed at the same place at the same time.

I was telling someone at work today that Chris got 5 years probation and he didn't believe me! I knew I saw that right cause BET also said it!

Foxy Brown Got Special Treatment In Jail?

The New York Post is reporting that prison officials at Rikers Island made Foxy Brown extra comfortable during her nine-month sentence for violating parole by assaulting nail-salon workers.

According to the newspaper, officials regularly hung out in her cell, brought her meals and makeup, gave her unlimited TV and phone use, and even carried her bags when she was released last April.

Foxy has already responded to these erroneous reports regarding her special treatment. This is kind of silly since Foxy has been out of jail for over a year and this is now being discussed. Someone has too much time on their hands.

Wow now this is what I'm talking about! What a way to start the week off! First, pictures leaked of BET reality star, Dorian from last year's season of "College Hill". Blogger Perez Hilton claims that Black Eyed Peas frontman, Will.I.Am beat him up and posted it onto his Twitter account. Here is a little info regarding the story:

Renowned celebrity blogger Perez Hilton was allegedly assaulted by Will.i.am, frontman of The Black Eyed Peas, and his security guards, according to messages posted to his Twitter account.

Beginning just after 3 am, Hilton, who was in Toronto to present at Sunday night’s MuchMusic Awards, started tweeting about the alleged attack:

• PerezHilton: I'm in shock. I need the police ASAP. Please come to the SoHo Metropolitan Hotel now. Please.

• PerezHilton: I was assaulted by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke.

• PerezHilton: Still waiting for the police. The bleeding has stopped. I need to document this. Please, can the police come to the SoHo Met Hotel.

Former TV Janet Hubert Spills The Beans On Will Smith! Here is an excerpt for an interview

“He had a lot of power. He had full power on that set! Maybe not the first season, but by the second, third season he was basically running it,” she states. The words escaping her mouth so fast—with no second-guessing herself--it’s as if she is in a time warp. “He knew what everybody was making because even on that V103 interview he said (mimics Smith by using gangsta voice) ‘She made two hundred fifty thousand – a quarter million dollars a year. Now she ain’t makin’ nothin’!’”

I don't know how many of you knew there was some bad blood that existed between Smith and his former TV mother. I remember a long time ago it was reported about her firing and she gave someone the 'middle finger' presumably Smith.

Usher Talks Divorce!

Usher -- who recently filed for divorce from wife Tameka Foster – tells "Entertainment Tonight" his life isn't easy these days. Asked if he is in a good place right now, he says, "I'd hate for [people] to assume that. If there's any turmoil, I think it's managing all of it, but having an incredible team that helps me do that it makes it very easy, or easier than it would normally be attempting to do it myself." The couple is due in court on July 15.

Like Usher's past two albums, "Here I Stand" and "Confessions", there was a huge amount of buzz to go along with those records. On the eve of Usher's newly single status you can expect a huge buzz for "Monster" when it is released. I'm sure this album will detail some of the divorce details.

Kanye Does Breakfast!

Kanye West and his ex-girlfriend Amber Rose were spotted in Chicago Thursday morning eating breakfast at the Original Pancake House. "We're told the two were extremely nice to staff and patrons during the meal -- but they weren't seen doing 'anything couply' during the meal," reports TMZ. Ye ordered one omelet, strawberry pancakes and extra whipped cream.

Drake Talks New Album, Label Deal!

Rap newcomer Drake has announced plans to publicly reveal which label he will sign to for his upcoming debut album within the next few days.

Keeping details to a minimum, the Young Money associate promised an announcement would follow in less than a week.

"I'm like, maybe, five days away maybe," Drake said about making a record deal announcement yesterday (June 18). "Just give me five days, I'm sorry, I can't. The burning question will be answered in five days...I'm out here in Miami working with Pharrell and I'm even realizing oh, we got so much more to give to these people. I just started working on my album pretty much a couple days ago and I'm still seeing the creativity is flowing at an amazing level."

I'm slowly turning into a Drake fan. I'm just nervous about the backlash. I'll explain later.

Love Is A Battlefield

"Love Is A Battlefield" is a title of a song by famous female rocker Pat Benatar. I'm not sure how many of you youngins are familiar with her. I can't sit here and say I know everything about her myself. I do now that I remember the video on VH1 many many years ago. Now the whole "Battlefield" theme has been resurrected thanks to American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. The new album due July 21 is led by the title track. This album cover that you see accompanied with this post serves as the deluxe version album cover. I actually saw this picture in Billboard magazine thinking it was simple a promo pic but I guess not. I actually like the title "Battlefield"(for an album title). I've heard the song but I'm not too big on it or Jordin Sparks for that matter but she seems like a sweet girl.

Chaka Khan Gets Honored!

With half of 2009 in the books, Chaka Khan is already booked for one major event in 2010.

Khan, widely known for hits including "Ain't Nobody," "I'm Every Woman" and "Through The Fire," will receive a spot on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

In 2006, Khan was honored by BET for her contributions to music at the BET Awards.

One of my favorite albums of all time is from Chaka Khan, "I Feel For You" and I am glad to see her getting honored.

B.E.P. Debuts at #1!

Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 -- the hip-pop act's best sales week ever. It's also the first No. 1 album for the group, which had previously gone as high as No. 2. Its last set, 2005's "Monkey Business," bowed in the runner-up slot with a then-best 291,000.

Aubrey O'Day Robbed!

Aubrey O'Day was left without any clothes today in Los Angeles -- and this time, it wasn't on purpose.

O'Day tells us she was robbed this morning while on her way to film a segment for the TV Guide Channel. Aubrey says she was walking down an alley near the building when "someone ran behind me and stole everything I was holding" -- including an expensive dress by designer Zac Posen.

Left without a proper outfit, Aubrey says she was forced to wear whatever the TV Guide people had handy.

I'm wondering did an upset Danity Kane fan rob Aubrey. I think this was his way of getting back at her for breaking up the group.

Mariah Preps New Album!

Mariah Carey will release her twelfth studio album, "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel," August 25 on Island Def Jam, the singer announced today (June 16). The debut single, "Obsessed," is co-written and produced by Carey, The-Dream and Tricky Stewart and has shipped to radio, while a music video directed by Brett Ratner is forthcoming.

With "Obsessed" impacting radio yesterday, as you can see the release date has been pushed up quite a few weeks. What is more interesting is the album comes out a week before Whitney Houston's album. I guess this will prove to be a good marketing strategy. Meanwhile "Obsessed" premiered and on top of that the remix featuring Gucci Mane leaked out way ahead of its supposed release date.

Spectacular To Pose Nude?

The staff at FlavaMen magazine doesn’t care whether Spectacular, the front man for R&B quartet Pretty Ricky, is gay or straight. All they know is the quarterly magazine’s parent company, gay adult studio Flava Works, managed to round up $100,000 to offer the singer in exchange for his nude body on the pages of their next issue.

“The company has secured and confirmed private investors to provide [Spectacular] with $100,000 in compensation for a photo spread featuring him as the magazine’s cover model,” a FlavaMen statement noted Friday.

The offer was set in motion in late May when, in an attempt to drum up buzz for Pretty Ricky’s upcoming single “Tipsy,” Spectacular posted on YouTube a video of him grinding to the tune — wearing only skimpy red briefs.

Chris Brown Denied Trial Delay!

The California Supreme Court has refused to intervene or delay Chris Brown's preliminary hearing.

Court records show a petition filed by Brown's attorney to delay the crucial hearing was denied on Wednesday.

Brown is due back in court on Monday for a preliminary hearing, after which a judge will decide whether there is enough evidence for his case to go to trial.

Brown was arrested in February on suspicion that he beat his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. The 21-year-old Barbados-born singer could testify during the hearing.

Where Do Broken Hearted Girls Go

down to the beach and reminisce on what coulda, shoulda, and woulda been. Now that the video for "Ego" has been released, it was only a matter of time for "Broken Hearted Girl" would be released. Prior to the video premiering online, there were stills and bootleg footage of the videos. Now here it is in full quality. I must say it is a very good video. I think if Beyonce did something like this in a movie without the dialogue, she wouldn't be that bad of an actress. Just my opinion though!

A Few Months Ago

Beyonce starred in a movie titled, "Obsessed" and now Mariah Carey has a song titled, "Obsessed". Coincidence? Probably not.

Mariah Carey's "Obsessed", a rumored swipe at Eminem seems to explain his rather obsessed behavior towards Mariah over the years. This includes his constant ridicule of her everytime he drops an album. I think Mariah has gotten tired of the ridicule once and for all and has decided to fire back(again). Mariah fired back on 2003's "Charmbracelet" with the song "Clown". This just goes to show how long this has been going on.

Later today we should be hearing "Obsessed" as it is said to debut on radio. I'm sure by the time I get home from work and get online, there will be a bevy of radio rips of the song. Mariah has been twittering "obsessively" about this song and describing how good it is and so forth. I truly hope it is.

Now let me take a minute to talk about the single cover. When I saw that there was a cover for this, I wasn't sure what to expect. This picture was definitely not what I expected but I do like it.

Ten Years From Now

we will all be singing("Birthday Sex") and wondering what ever became of Jeremih. I know that is pretty mean and harsh but it might as well be true. Only time will truly tell though. The self-titled release from Chicago bred artist, Jeremih comes on the heels of his successful single, "Birthday Sex".

I remember always seeing the song listed on the Billboard R&B charts but having never heard it. One day my sister asked me about the song and I knew who it was. I hadn't heard the song but she did and when I finally got the song, I liked it.

Signed to Def Jam, Jeremih will release his self-titled debut album on June 30. Below you can check out the track listing.

Jennifer Lopez Talks New Album!

The forever fabulous Jennifer Lopez is currently filming her new movie "The Back-Up Plan", but the busy diva somehow managed to find time to sit down with MTV to talk about the progress of her upcoming seventh studio album.

"I'm working on an album right now" says Lopez "I have a few singles that I'm working on right now and I'm just trying to finish it up so it can be out later in the year"

The diva held back a little though when pressed for some exact details on the new album, but she did reveal a few interesting things.

"I already know the concept of the album and I know the title" she says "We're just working on making it a very focused concept for this album. I'm gonna wait until I reveal exactly what it is but it'll be out soon enough"

Kelis Claims She's Broke!

Kelis claims estranged hubby Nas has left her high and dry ... Not offering her a penny in the wake of her impending birth ... And she says she's broke -- "I have run out of money."

Kelis filed legal papers claiming Nas isn't paying her support, pre-natal expenses -- nothing, even though she claims he is filthy rich.

Kelis is asking the judge to order Nas to pay spousal support, child support, all pregnancy-related expenses, and one-half of all medical expenses after the child is born. She also wants $3,500 for the baby nurse after the child's birth, and $20,000 for strollers, cribs and other baby supplies.

Kelis says, "My survival is based on [Nas'] will at this time. If he does not want to pay for an expense, it does not get paid." The couple was married in 2003. The baby is due this month.

The-Dream Talks Mariah's New Record!

Hitmaker The-Dream has spoken out about Mariah Carey's soon to be released new single "Obsessed", claiming in a new interview that the song is in fact a diss record.

"The most anticipated project [for me is] the Mariah project, and she just released a fire record in the building today. And we have been blasting it out all day. It's just f**king retarded. I don't think anybody is going to expect her to come out punching like she is going to come out. But she got a record."

The-Dream then continued, strongly implying that the record was addressed to one person in particular.

Mariah Gets Remixed!

Mariah Carey is collaborating with Gucci, and this time, it’s not on her designer ensemble.

The superstar hinted that she recorded a remix to “Obsessed,” the first single off her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, with an unspecified rapper.

“Listening to ‘Obsessed’ remix on repeat, -guest rapper-cant tell u who it is but he put the G in Ghetto!” tweeted her friend Jasmine Dotiwala. “Sick combo-hotness.”

The special guest has been revealed as Gucci Mane. In an interview with DJ Drama on Hot 107.9 in Atlanta, the ATL-raised MC confirmed that he was in the studio with Mariah and laid down a verse on the remix to “Obsessed.” Gucci has a strong presence on the underground scene. His highest commercial-charting hit was “Freaky Gurl” off 2006’s Hard to Kill.

The original version of “Obsessed” will premiere on Tuesday on Chicago’s B96.
