T.I. Sued For Child Support!
According to the AJC, the attorneys for LaShon Dixon, the mother of two of T.I.'s boys, are suing T.I. for some unpaid legal bill from Dixon's request for extra child support. I guess he was supposed to pay for her attorneys as well as his own. Funny thing is, she only got like an extra $1,000 per month with her child support case, but her lawyers are suing T.I. for an $8000 bill? Sounds like the suits came out better than the kids in this situation.
Timbaland Responds To New Album Rumors!
Responding to multiple erroneous online reports about his forthcoming Shock Value 2 album — which claimed that Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Usher and others will appear on the album, and which were incorrectly attributed to MTV.com — Timbaland got on the phone with us to set the record straight on Tuesday afternoon (January 6)."It's funny," Timbo said about the surprisingly detailed report, which claimed it was based on an advance preview of five tracks from the album. "I'm surprised people are watching me like that. I am recording the album, but I don't know none of them joints, none of them songs. That's just bogus."Tim did say the album is coming in 2009.
Jay-Z In Concert!
Jay-Z will salute President-elect Barack Obama with a Jan. 19 concert at Washington, D.C.'s Warner Theater, at which he'll be backed by a live band. Tickets for "An Evening with Jay-Z in Concert on The Eve of Change" go on sale Friday (Jan. 9) from Ticketmaster.Jay-Z campaigned actively for Obama last fall, and even recorded a single, "History," in honor of his election. Meanwhile, there's no word on a release date for the rapper's final Def Jam album, which is expected this spring.
