Artist Spotlight: Sam Sparro

I bring to you yet another artist spotlight. Lately I have been overflowing with various artist spotlight posts. If you ever wonder how I decide on who is spotlighted, it is real simple! I just pick who I'm currently feeling at the given moment, or who I think people need to check out. Case in point, meet Sam Sparro! He is a native of Sydney, Australia. Born Sam Falson the quirky R&B singer moved to Los Angeles where he became a music exec temp and a waiter. It is something many struggling(or up and coming)singers do to pay the bills. Sparro's sheer determination paid off when he was signed to Island Records UK. The singer issued his self-titled debut album in the summer of 2008. His lead single, "Black & Gold" took off in the UK and was recently nominated for a Grammy for "Best Dance Recording". With his Prince inspired vocals and bewitching talent, it would be a shame for you to let a talent like Sam Sparro slip by. He is surely worth checking out.
